Some introduction, I've long been a fan of roleplaying although I have not had much practice to do so and pretty much none at all in a tabletop game setting.

I know the basics of roleplay already, just haven't got the chance to do much with that knowledge, and I've gotten as far as creating a character for a D&D game, which then ended up being cancelled due to real life intervening each time. if I had a nickel for every time that happened I'd have 2 nickels! Still strange it happened twice!

I am hoping to find a fairly traditional 5th edition game since that is pretty much everything I've studied thus far, although as far as the actual setting I would definitely be happy if it was a bit on the high fantasy end, lasers and magitek always make things more fun.

I am hoping for a chill group which will have some patience for people who have never got to do it before, and I prefer using discord or a site like roll20 for the games, as I cannot leave my home, and I also prefer text over voice, I don't speak clearly anyway.

Hey, I'm really new too! I've been reading forgotten realms for like 20 years+ now and love playing right games ,never played table top but always wanted to. That being said u til I stumbled upon this the other day I never thought I'd get a chance to play. I'd love to learn with you if thats cool I have alot of nights and Sunday afternoons. I think it would be best if we had someone experienced DM for us, since a DM is something we will definitely need, and it is also the toughest job. let's wait and see if one says hi lol.

Hi there! I am somewhat new to table top roleplaying as well, I have spent a bit of time as a player but within the last year have transitioned into DM'ing as a way to get more of my friends into D&D! I by no means am super experienced with it but if you folks wanted to get a text based 5e campaign going I would be more than happy to DM and we can all learn together. My DM style is pretty loose and I am more interested in you having fun and feeling connected to your character and the world than obsessing over rules. I can run either discord, roll20 or a combination of both depending on what you want to do. Let me know! 

Sure lets wait a little longer though maybe we'll get someone more experienced with DMing to volunteer so you can play a normal character.
