Game: D&D 5e, Starting Up Dragon Heist with the intention of following it with Mad Mage immeidately after.
Group type: Online via Zoom and Roll20 in game, Discord for organizing outside of the session. Experience: I've DM'd for a year and a half. Location/Timezone: EDT Schedule: Weekly on Saturday nights from 6pm-10pm with a short break around the halfway point. Roles sought: 2 reliable and experienced players willing to play any kind of good aligned tank role. who are in it for the long haul, preferable 18+. We have one kid in our group but he's proven to be mature in a previous campaign, so if that's you, we can potentially make an exception. Game style: Semi-hardcore, a lot of combat but also a good amount of roleplaying and exploration.
One thing unique about my DM style is that I welcome "rule lawyers," so long as they keep it respectful, back it up with page number references to the sourcebooks, but also let me ultimately decide whether I want to follow that rule or not. Sometimes for the sake of the general flow of the game, I go with what feels right, as I think most would agree is ideal. By doing this I'm becoming better acquainted with the official rules while also refining my personal approach to DM'ing. For this reason, I would also prefer experienced players who have at least read the PHB (player's handbook) and have played for at least a few months.
As for creating characters, please keep it to the PHB and XGtE
If you've read this far, thank you - I'd love to hear from you :) But before you reply, please take a moment to seriously ask yourself whether or not you'll be able to commit four hours a week every Saturday night for a campaign that could easily last 1-2 years. For those who aren't familiar, these specific published adventures are massive. They start at level 1 (although we're currently at level 2) and go all the way to level 20, and it's all XP based, not milestones, so it's a serious grind. Obviously it would be ideal to find a group of 4 players who will be there from start to finish, but obviously we all have lives outside of dnd and it's entirely possible that scheduling conflicts or other commitments will pop up and we might lose folks along the way. For that reason, while I currently already have 4 players, I'm seeking 2 more to bring us to 7, that way if up to 3 people drop out or are absent for any given session, the show goes on.
One last note - but this is kind of a given in any dnd game really, but the number one rule in all sessions is respect each other. Pretty simple. Any form of hatred, be it racism/sexism/homophobia/ableism/transphobia, etc, will not be tolerated. Also, no politics or religion please. We're all just here to play dnd and have fun. :)
Hey, would love to possibly join the team. I've played in the past, but for the better part of the last few years i've been a DM for a small group of friends, but they meet inconsistently and I would love to get back to being a player again. I'm open to taking on any roles that the party needs, can come up with characters pretty quickly as I've been making characters to have to use as NPCs in my campaigns.
One character i've had an idea for that i think would be a lot of fun is a Stout Halfling Barbarian. Likely dual wielding like either handaxes or like a light hammer and an axe. Just a little tazmanian devil of fury.

I'd love to play!
Is there a discord server or anything?
Yes, sorry, I meant to mention that. We have a discord server for out of session communication. DM me for the link :)

I am a team player and I can cover for what the team needs - although there are some character concepts I haven't tried yet.
If you are interested to recruit me, you may reach me through discord also - Zeroelement#0941.
