Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online, 21+ please My Experience: veteran Location/Timezone: Eastern time zone U.S. Schedule: Biweekly, weeknight, evening but specific time and day not set yet Players sought: 3-5 Players Game style: This module is more roleplay driven, especially at the lower levels. Emphasis will be on solving mysteries and puzzles. Also, this game is beginner friendly and will take time to explain rules especially early in the campaign
Hello, I am running the Candlekeep Mysteries module from 1-17 as a connected campaign. The PCs will be scribe interns at the library and will stumble upon the books and the adventures within. I'm Bob, the DM, and one of the players is my wife who is a beginner with a little experience from another campaign. She has mentioned that it sounds fun to play with another female player so if that works out it would be cool. We are inclusive and welcoming for everyone. The game will be played on discord for voice and I think I want to try Owlbear Rodeo for maps since I've heard good things, I usually run theater of the mind. Character sheets will be here on D&D Beyond. Any questions, I am happy to answer.
If interested, then please fill out the information and I will get in touch with you. Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a good day.
Name: Pronouns: D&D Experience: Age: Character Idea (include some reason how/why they would be studying at Candlekeep):
Name: Kenny (cake394) Pronouns: He/Him D&D Experience: None (I've got a Player's Handbook, Tasha's Cauldron, and Xenithar's Guide on DnDBeyond. I've read through them and tried out several character creations for fun) Age: 34 Character Idea (include some reason how/why they would be studying at Candlekeep): Eldon Murnig Fifenrock/Rock Gnome/Wizard. Came to Candlekeep to study further into Arcane History and magic's influence on the world.
My name is Cartman and I am 22 years old. I'm experienced at DnD. I go by He/Him.
I'm looking to play a monk: Way of Long Death who was interested in finding the location of 2 mysterious magic items that have eluded him for years. His search for these items has brought him to the magnificent library stronghold of candle keep. The items of question are, "the gloves of soul catching", and the, "blood fury tattoo." With these items, he would be closer to unlocking the secrets of undeath, and defend his people from tyranny.
Name: Bumnik Pronouns: he/him D&D Experience: none in Dnd but many years in rpgs Age: 26 Character Idea (include some reason how/why they would be studying at Candlekeep) A traveling wizard visiting my village noticed some magical talent in me and send me to candelkeep to learn my basics to becoming his apprentice
D&D Experience: none, however, I have been part of an online role-play group for a few years.
Age: 26
Pronouns: She/Her
Character: Lynorae
Race: Moon Elf
Gender: Female
Lynorae researches the Ancient Ones in her hometown library and archives; she comes across this scroll and a map in another language, unfamiliar to her. The only thing she can make out is "Candlekeep". Thus she begins her quest to decipher the map and scroll.
Name:kag Pronouns:they/them D&D Experience: none Age: 14 Character Idea (include some reason how/why they would be studying at Candlekeep): they want to learn how to become a better druid
Name: Fiona Pronouns: She/Her D&D Experience: I have been playing D&D and Pathfinder since before I was 10, with most of my experience in D&D being with 3.5E and 5E. I also have experience as a DM (homebrew worlds only), but I tend to prefer playing. I love story-focused games, with lots of opportunities for character growth and relationship-building. Age: 23 Timezone: PacificTime (I am free Mon-Thurs after 5:30PM Pacific Time)
Character Concept: (Totally flexible on this, but as an initial concept) A rogue, recently released from prison (race, gender, and whether they were wrongly or rightly imprisoned can all be determined as fits the group/story), having learned to read and write during their time there. “The scribe work keeps me off the street and out of the cold weather. I had a good teacher and nothing but time in my cell, so I am good at my work. I’ve always had a good eye and a steady hand, if it’s with a pen now rather than a pick, that’s probably all to the good. And if this work keeps me away from the guard and everyone else I was involved with before, that’s certainly for the best.”
Hey, my name is Chance, I am a 25 year old male with no playing experience who wants to eventually DM one day. I understand the mechanics of D&D and am off on weekends and am in the same time zone. I could come up with a various of character ideas. I want to play a monster hunter who is looking for information to aid him in hunting down evil monsters. I would like to note, that role playing is new to me and I struggle with mental illness which makes it difficult for me but I am willing to try given the right environment. Please let me know.
