Game: D&D 5e Campaign: Storm King's Thunder (beginning, 1st-lvl) Group type: Online Experience: Any is welcome Location/Timezone: CST - Central Time (I'm in Houston) Schedule: Every other Saturday, at 2 pm CST until 6-ish Roles sought: 1-3 Players, including a cleric/druid Game style: Casual with roleplay as needed
I am the DM, looking for 1-3 players to make t least the minimum required number for Storm King's Thunder campaign. We're starting at the beginning, first-level for all players. My problem is that we only have three characters in the party, where the campaign recommends 4-6. So far, with one gaming session, this has been made clear to them that they just don't have enough people in their party.
Players can be new, but a little bit of roleplay-experience would help. We have three players now, two of which have never played any kind of roleplay game like DnD.
This game is online only, as every person in the group is in a different part of the US. We span three timezones (PST, CST, and EST) which is another reason why we agreed to play earlier in the day, versus evenings. My timezone is CST which I share with a member of the party.
Game-time: 2 pm CST until around 6 pm, every other Saturday. I expect to give a halftime break for everyone (because I need it, too) and so play probably will go until 6:30 or so. We are flexible in case someone has to leave early.
I am using the browser-extension AboveVTT for maps and combat, because it works with less hassle to me than Roll20 or any others. Character Sheets should be made on the DnD-Beyond site. They will be migrated into the AboveVTT app to join the game.
Our preferences are casual, yet we do still try to roleplay our characters, at least when interacting with my monsters or NPCs. Whether players roleplay among themselves is up to them.
The party we have right now consists of three centaurs: a Barbarian, a Wizard, and a Bard. While the bard can do some healing, they have already experienced the limits of that healing ability. We had a druid, but he had to drop out of the campaign before play began. I'm fine with whatever players I get so long as we get at least one strong healer-type :-)
My experience as a DM is, well, different. This is the first time I've run a modern campaign, though I've been a player online for several years. I started with, basically, 1e back in the 1980s when I ran a custom campaign (we didn't call it homebrew back then). I haven't run any games since then, so my technique is quite rusty. I hope this isn't a problem for potential new players. If you want to play a race/class from Homebrew, I'll have to research that ahead of play to determine if I'll allow it. We do have centaurs in the party now, so I'm pretty open to nonstandard requests.
Now, I understand if I can't get anyone by this coming Saturday (Sep. 4) as it is Labor Day weekend in the US, so people may have other plans made already.
I guess I need some rules/guidelines. So-
Rules: No tech above human-style Middle Ages Player is asked to give a 3-day advanced notice if intending to miss a session

Hello. I am also interested in playing with you. The time and day work just fine for me. I have played a druid in the past and love the class. I am super flexible on what the party needs/ wants. If you are interested In my joining just shoot me a dm
I have been eager to play a druid build and could include lots of healing. I am rather young tho so I don't know what the age limit is. I'll include disc if you respond
We have the healer role filled with one cleric and a bard. A rogue would be nice, so I'll talk to those who have replied if they are interested in that class. I'm going to close this thread now as we'll likely have a full party by the end of the day.
Big thanks to all who have replied whether this worked out for you or not. I'll definitely use these forums again for this purpose in the future! :)

Nvm just reviewed the post again and realized I can't make my character on dnd beyond cause I don't have no source books.
