I’m a 40 year old Canadian male who's very polite, considerate, and punctual (and not modest, apparently, lol). I'm pretty experienced with playing D&D 5e on Roll20 with the Beyond20 chrome extension. My schedule is pretty open. Feel free to add me on Discord at Case#1206
Greetings Friend, I am Heir of Solaire; At your service.
I run a Homebrew Setting in a modified version of DND 5E rules, both by my design. This setting is known as Herraheim, an Archipelago of intrigue, opportunity, and danger. The region is primarily inspired by Scandinavian Mythos and Culture; all with my own flair for dark and gritty fantasy. Here on Herraheim, you have the greatest level imaginable in the realm of freedom. Despite the initial hook bringing people together, each of my groups have veered wildly from each other, taking on different aspects of the world.
Herraheim lives and breathes, it feels like it's lived in. NPCs feel like actual people; They have goals and inspirations, personalities and flaws. Roleplay has a heavy hand in my games as a result. Combat is usually never forced without probable cause. Players can seek combat and turn it into hack'n'slash, but that's not the base climate of my games.
As a note, I do charge as a DM. My rate is the lower end of average for Professional DMs. My currently open sessions fall on Friday at 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM PST and Friday at 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM PST. If you're per chance interested, you can Private Message me here; You can DM me on Discord at Heir of Solaire#5845 ; or you can go to my Forum Post and apply there. I am a DM of a group of 3 veteran players who play online atm but originally played in person. We are all from the Raleigh/Durham region in North Carolina and I am looking for 1-2 more players for our Rime of the Frost Maiden group. We are presently lvl3 but we play a RP style of game with some combat sprinkled in. We play Tuesday nights from 7-11pm, sometimes a tad longer but rarely.
Hello john, if you've still got room at the tableid be interested in joining the campaign. I recently got separated from my in person group due to moving but id like to jump back into a game. It sounds like you guys play the kind of style im interested in though. If you have discord im moni#4373
awesome. Well lets see, I am one of those old-school players who has played D&D since 1st edition and continued to follow and change with each new edition release. 4th edition was a let down and I decided to switch to Pathfinder since it was D&D 3.75 in essence and an easy transition from 3.5. Our group only switched to 5e about 3 years ago, mainly due to being hesitant about the edition plus new Pathfinder coming out. I have mainly DM'd though the years but yearn to play like most DM's usually do. BTW, my name is John and I am a huge Forgotten Realms fan.
The group was as large as 6 but now is 3 regular players plus a part-time 4th player. All but 1 of us live in North Carolina so timing is easy for us.
Coree is early 30's, started with Pathfinder and still plays Pathfinder2 with another group. Has some DM experience. He can min/max with the best of them but he likes that our group isn't all about combat. Has been with the group from the start, 6 years ago.
Caleb is in his early 40's, married, no kids and previously owned his own mini-painting biz but Covid and changing times kinda hurt his success. He is a very cerebral player who always seems to have that off the wall idea that seems crazy at first then everyone sides with. Has been playing sine 1st edition as well and been with our group almost from the beginning.
Kenny, late 20's, a stoner, chill married dude with a baby on the way. He loves his fighter, barbarian dwarf types and the direct approach but has learned that there are other ways to get the job done. He is our newest member but has been with the group for about 4 years.
Obviously with Covid and now playing online, our game has changed a bit. We used mini's quite a lot in our past with maps and such but we have managed to evolve, use Owlbear Rodeo and such to help but also a lot of theatre of the mind has been incorporated. RP is important but do realize this game has dice and we aim to use them, but there have been nights where we haven't gotten into combat. Also, I try to keep things moving yet let the players run the show, I just enjoy RPing the NPC's along the way.
You are more than welcome to join us and watch/listen next Tuesday to see if our group/game is for you. We are presently playing Rise of the Frostmaiden and are currently lvl3 and looking to continue with this book to its conclusion.
any other questions, feel free to message.
