Hello! My name is Danielle and I'll be your dungeon master for this campaign. In April, I had a baby and had to switch from home games to virtual games. Any free time I have is spent running D&D Campaigns.
Campaign Information:
Campaign Name: The Elderwood Game Type: Text-Based; Campaign 5 Edition Content; Homebrew World & Maps Est. Start Date: September 15th Starting Lvl: 2 XP Method: Milestone Additional Information: Campaign is currentlyFull, Friends are Welcome Platforms & Mods Used: Discord, Avrae Bot, DNDBeyond Whether it's your first game or not, this campaign is great for new players, veterans, & unicorns. This campaign is a great introduction to Dungeons and Dragons for new players.
The game will be running between 9am-9pm(PT) every day. You are not required to be on during those times. It is preferable to have some availability during these times to avoid missing out on roleplaying, events, and more. Once combat starts, the game then becomes turn-based. You will get pinged in discord when it is your turn or if someone is talking to you directly.
Thank you Dguenthner for sharing your books with the group!
Sweet. Count me in, I will start putting something together. Let me know if there is a discord already set up that I can get an Invite to when you are ready.
Hello! I would be quite interested in joining a text-based game! I was looking to get into one since it's way easier to develop characters like so, I do think. Any pre-requisite or application form?
Thanks for your time and hope to play with you, Altar
Hey! This sounds really fun, been looking for a text-based campaign for a LONG time so hopefully the final spot hasn't been filled by the time i finish writing this down. Anything you need me to send?
Hello, I am certainly down for this! I have never done a text-based game but have experience in 5e. Would a Dhampir be allowed, more recent addition to official D&D 5e? If not, I have many other ideas!
Hello there! I’m a 4 year vet in dnd, my main dnd experience is in text based on discord using avera! I’d love to be part of this as I’m trying to get into a new game! I’d love for this to be the game :)
This seems like a very cool idea and I was wondering how it all functioned, is it pretty smooth to run and organize. I mostly ask because my sister and her bf and their friends have been interested in trying out DnD and as the only person who plays it that they know they were wondering if I could DM them.
I could do this fairly easily except that they live on the other side of the planet and so times don't really line up. I was therefore looking at trying a more long form (text based) way for playing rather than trying to schedule sessions in the middle of the night for me on days where I'm not working. This search lead me here and so I'd love to find out more from you about how this all works from a DM organiser point of view.
Thank you for any advice you can give. ☺️

I would be down for a text based campaign. Any restrictions on character/class/race choices?
As long as it's 5th edition content you're good.
I'm not doing homebrew character/class/races this campaign.

Good Day! Is the slot still open? I'm interested to join. I'm a new player here.

I know the campaign has been filled, but if a spot ever opens up, I'd love to be part of it!
