Ok, I absolutely love that thread. I just wanted it for the aesthetic of it, playing off the whole "this guy deals with all sorts of spirits, but we dont know how...".
Like just imagine your this average joe, and this giant fey gnome thing... suddenly conjures a spectral unicorn (Unicorn Spirit Totem), Glow gnashing set of jaws (Spiritual Weapon), and a horde of vermin (Conjure Animals) in like 10 seconds. Would you really know what was going on?

That being said, Ill admit that potentially losing both foci to one slight of hand is a bit... concerning if completely fair and legitimate. So I many just keep them separate while looking aesthetically similar.
I'd definitely like to RP, solve some puzzles, and want to try out this guy in combat. I don't think that helps you narrow it down at all, but...
I'm not sure how to share stuff, like my character sheet. I don't understand how to attach stuff to these threads. Any advice or is there another way to share stuff?
Im with Mike. I have all the books IRL, but that doesnt mean anything for sharing things on the site. And I dont know how to share, muchless create character sheets on D20.
My original thought was to try out a gnomish artificer, but it doesn't seem to be an option in the character builder in any way through DnD Beyond. I've been piecing together a halfling bard instead, but I'm wondering if we are stuck with the College of Lore or if we can go with other subclasses from DandD Wiki.

Did some noodling around. The DnD Beyond zen desk said as recently as yesterday that homebrew races and subclasses are not available yet, but should be soon.
For our purposes, I'm happy to work with a "paper" character sheet or some other version if you're willing to write it up that way for now.
When the homebrew options open up, we can also revisit if you want. So gnomish artificer or otherwise, we can find a way.
Hey, are you guys still looking for a group to play? Me and potentially one more person are looking for a group because ours is just always bailing. We can play any role needed!
I'm in Buena Vista, looking for a group and also starting a group at my place near the Design District. Did you guys ever get a game going? Would love to check it out.
Ah, too bad. I am starting a game at my place and looking for players. I'm a newbie DM but used to play a long time ago. Looking for cool, mature people who want to roll some dice and push some lead once a week. Doing a session 0 with a couple of folks tonight and looking to have a regular weekly game night.
Good question on multicasting foci! I will allow it.
For a more carefully considered conversation:
https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/77256/can-a-multi-class-spellcaster-have-one-thing-be-two-different-focuses
I acknowledge the finer points here, but I don't want to rule lawyer this. The way I see it, this allows for better stories.
Do remember though, consolidating into one focus object also means... you have only one focus object. If something were to happen to it...

I forgot to say I'd like to buy-in for points.

Let's try this sample campaign link:
https://ddb.ac/campaigns/join/127825976950268
Let's see what options become available to you once you click through.
For me, once I click through that link, I have the option to pick a character I want to associate with the campaign.
Perfect I can create a character thought that, thank you!
Out of curiosity, what archetypes/subclasses are acceptable? Can we pull from https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/5e_Subclasses?
Thank you! That works great!
I'll keep tweaking, but the meat of Chasar is there.
Smiles to all!
@Trustee Have you tried enabling "Playtest Content" in the character editor? I understand that Unearthed Arcana options open up through that.
If there's anything anyone can't add to their character on DnD Beyond, let me know. We'll find a way to work it out.
