I have been into DnD for close to 7 years now...but sadly I have not had many friends willing or able to play it much. I decided to give this thread a try to see if not only I could find a group to play with but make some new friends as well. I have only played homebrew games (DM & Player) but I'm willing to play stock as well. I've also only ever played on Steam's Tabletop Simulator for the DnD sessions, but I'm willing to learn and use any platform that the group prefers. I'm sorry if I was not clear, I'm mostly looking to be a Player atm until I get to know the group. I only feel comfortable DMing for people I know and have made friends with so I can make the story/game for their interests.

Greetings both SIVA_ and DarkWolfZane, I am Heir of Solaire at your service.
I run a Homebrew Settings known as Herraheim. A Vibrant and Living World that takes place in an Archipelago isolated from the world. I emphasize Freedom as a DM. While there is an initiating Plot that can be followed out of simplicity's sake, it is not out of the question or even discouraged to explore and find something the party has interest in. Neither of my 2 active games have treaded the same path. One of those games has been running for 3 years and the other for many months.
I have been a DM for over 5 years, but playing DND for 7. I have been roleplaying for over a Decade. As part of my setting, I have taken it upon myself to design dynamic rules that add to the experience of 5e.
With all that out of the way, I do charge as a DM. I charge the average rate for each session played. Despite the fact that I do charge, I ensure that the atmosphere stays friendly. With my group, you reap the benefits of a more theatrical, developed experience in addition to that organic, group of friends vibe.
