any character ideas - what are your favorite races, classes, backgrounds? do you have a couple builds and backstories in mind?
Hi! My name is Adam and I am 19 years old and from the east coast. I am a new DnD player, but have tried to DM for some of my friends so I am familiar with almost all of the 5e mechanics. My experience with 5e is quite limited but I do know how the game works mechanically and rules wise and would love to finally be able to put it to the test. As for preferred playstyle I think a mix of almost anything is fine but I would love to explore more RP as I haven't gotten the opportunity to explore that yet. I have a few characters in mind but my current favorite is for a human paladin of Bahamut who wanted to find a higher calling and take a more righteous path after seeing the corruption in his own cities government. I'm always open to playing new roles however and can adjust to the party's needs as I always enjoy making new characters. If you'd like to add me on discord, my username is AdamC14#0553
I'm Patrick, 45 years old from the US East Coast. I've been playing 5e for 5-6 years now. I've played multiple races & classes. I've also played on Roll20 quite a bit, so I'm familiar with if from a player's perspective. As for my playstyle, I'd probably say I'm most comfortable in combat, but enjoy telling a good story, and am always looking to improve as a roleplayer. Favorite races, I most often lean to the Elvish side of things, but I also love playing Goliaths. There are definitely others I'm interested in trying, like Dragonborn and I'd love to try a Leonin sometime. When it comes to classes, my two faves are probably Warlock and Fighter, but I've also played Barbarian, Cleric, Rogue, and a little Druid & Paladin. There are lots of subclasses I haven't played yet that I'd love to try, like Path Of The Beast Barbarian, Phantom Rogue, Psychic Warrior Fighter and many others. I have some rough drafts of character ideas in my head, to be fleshed out when the occasion calls for it.

Edit: missed the bit about favorite books/movies/etc, so here :)
Movies: Casablanca, The Dark Crystal, Wall-E, Young Frankenstein
Books: Lord Of The Rings, anything by Jim Butcher(Dresden Files, Codex Alera, Cinder Spires), old Tom Clancy, Hitchhiker's Guide
Fave D&D Monster is definitely the Displacer Beast, the 5E art especially is SO awesome.
Hi I'm Abby, from Idaho(Mountain Time, and I'd love to join your group! I've been playing D&D for four years now, both as a DM and a player, with a lot of time spent in online groups with Roll20, discord, and several other DND sites. I should be able to make the time. I'm diffidently a more plot and role play oriented player, as I love the idea of a group of people working together to create a story. I'm also a Hobby artist and would be glad to draw some artwork for the Champaign. I'd be glad to fill whatever class or role that the group needs since I love trying new things.
Feel free to contact me through the DND beyond messages or through my discord at Wymrce#5086
Hi this time is perfect for me! I am Dave and I have been playing/dm’ing dnd online for about 3 years. I have a steady group I play with weekly but am looking for another game.
I usually play support characters. Either controller types or party buffers. I tend to like gnomes and elves though have been known to take the variant human sometimes as well.
My favorite moments are all basically just laughing at my groups various jokes until I almost cry.
I recently retired my favorite character - Banfiz the ultra know it all wizard who was very sweet but also not very charismatic … he did his best but things just don’t work out for him socially. And there were some very funny rolls for his success in love …
Anyway, I would be interested in hearing more about your group/game
My name is Darrin. Been playing since 78. Im open to play, DM, whatever. I can play any class/race. I’m retired so I have a lot free time to play. Time zones aren’t an issue. I live also in Idaho.

“How’d ya do it Xaels?”

My Names is Abeer. I've been playing on an off since about 2001. Looking for a group to play regularly with. Not confident enough to be a DM, but I'm working on creating a couple to test one shots on Roll 20/dndbeyond, so may do the DM thing in the future. I'm located in Toronto and can be available almost any weekend.
I'm happy to play any class, but tend to prefer rogues and bards.
Hello! I go by Galaxy and I'm 21. I've been playing online for about 2 and a half years now, but most of the games I've been playing got cut short due to varying reasons. So far, all campaigns I've been a part of have been 5e. I love the game and hope to play it more often, so I'm trying to see how many campaigns I can juggle (at least 3 before scheduling potentially becomes a problem). I'm also in the Pacific timezone. Combat is fun, but I prefer roleplay and puzzles. Some of my favorite moments come from talking with a mimic and two rounds of combat that made my character seem cooler than they ever had been before (or even after) that. I love creating characters and hope to reuse a recycled character from a campaign that was ended abruptly. He is a half-orc storm cleric with the haunted one background. I also have an elf sorcerer who had been experimented on by a lich with the outlander background. Another is a half-elf bladesinging wizard with the inheritor background. I absolutely love creating characters and am heavily considering paying D&D Beyond to get more character slots. I haven't played enough to use all kinds of races, classes, and backgrounds, but I enjoy being able to use magic (though I'm more than open to magic-less characters). I take great enjoyment in creating backstories, and I make it a point to add in at least one piece of information that can be used for a plot twist if the DM wishes.
