Hello! My group and I are currently looking for someone to join us. We haven't started playing yet, we're hoping to have a session zero within the next week.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Any experience level welcome. Timezone: PST Schedule: Tuesday 8pm, games likely to last 2-3 hours. Played every week. Roles sought: 1 Player Game style: Roleplay, adventure, combat, and puzzle solving
Synopsis: The characters begin at level 7 in the Forgotten Realms (the exact starting area is something I will know once I have folks' backstories). A high-priest of Oghma has hired a group of veteran adventurers to aid in the exploration of a recently discovered ruin with no discernible ties to any preceding country/government/empire/faith. What will they discover beyond the beautiful and strange doorway leading into this forgotten (forlorn) place?
Bio: I've been DM'ing for 2 years now, but my love for 5e began about 4 years ago. I love a healthy mix of combat and roleplay. I prefer character driven campaigns and to this end I love working on players' goals for their characters. I wouldn't consider myself deadly but I don't make things easy, and I try to make my NPCs as complicated as any character in a story (at least the NPCs that drive the story... no there is no 3 page backstory to the barkeep... at least not yet). While I have read the rules, sometimes I forget (and sometimes finding the rule is trickier than imagined), and sometimes a player wants to do something that the rules don't account for - in these cases I like to rule on the spot to keep the game going, and then research, learn, and discuss before the next game.
If you're interested I'd be happy to chat. Often it's easier to do so if you send a direct message, but I'll reply if you post to this thread too. Thanks for your time!
