Experienced (6 years) DM LFP online - Wednesday Evenings (Homebrew World)

I am a 24-year-old DM looking for a group of players to run with the world that I have been creating. It is a campaign with an end goal. It has been designed that the party can play through and if they want to continue playing, the world would allow that. The sessions would be bi-weekly once we all agree on Wednesdays from 6 pm-10 pm. I'm looking for the kind of people that aren't afraid to roleplay or have a good time. Everyone is welcome, but I can only pick up to 5. In your comment, I want you to answer a couple of questions. What is your favorite thing about D&D? What do you want when you play D&D? What would you be most excited about in my campaign world? Timezone: Central Daylight Time (GMT-5)

Availability: Sessions will be bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm-10 pm with a ~10min break in the middle.

Game Style: A Homebrew setting that has about a 50/50 split of roleplay and combat, It will be a mix of both with some downtime that the party can use as they will.

Software used: Discord for chat and video, roll20 for sessions, & world anvil for my world & lore.

Era: Medival Fantasy

Setting: The Ivory Reef- A small island country that has been under the control of a couple of Genies.

Hardware: Webcams are preferred as they make it a lot easier to RP, convey emotion, and communicate.

Disclaimer: I am open to working with my players on any kind of character they want to run, with one condition. No homebrew content, only the published books may be used to make a character. (I also allow UA, balance permitting)

Intro: The Valley of the Mountain Queen

A large island paradise, surrounded by a large coral reef, running around the island in a ring, is taken over by a Dao & Efreeti. The Dao & Efreeti inhabit the once dormant volcano and send a heatwave over the island and the surrounding waters. This boiled off the sea between the island and the reef, resulting in a large basin, surrounded by the reef mountains. In the middle a large volcano stands, the only fertile land being on that mountain, most of the valley is harsh salt flats with remnants of what has sunk in the past. This vast expanse is surrounded by the rocky and jagged mountains now known as the Dao’s Crown. It’s been 70 years since Dao & Efreeti took over and 10 years since anyone has seen them. Some of the valleys have been converted into farmable land and small towns have sprung up across the land. Water is gathered around the crown as it runs down the mountainsides. Most of the land is owned by wealthy mine owners that employ most of the valley. Though the wealth is very one-sided, the Dao taxes everyone living in their lands. But there’s been a disturbance beginning to stir the hearts of the workers. Areas in the Crown are beginning to crumble and if they do, the entire valley will be reclaimed by the ocean. Usually every year the Dao adds to the mountains but in the last 10 years, the aid has ceased. The working class is split on wanting to keep the houses they worked so hard to create and the others want the flood to level the wealth. The rich want the mountains repaired so they don’t lose their money. So the lands within the crown are being split up by the people, groups forming among the ranks that all want different things. Will you save the people of the Valley, Keep the wealthy in power, slay the Dao & Efreeti, or maybe something else entirely? Welcome to The Valley of the Mountain Queen.

hey! i'm interested as well, been looking to fill more of my week up with dnd now that uni is going into break 

what i love about d&d so far is really the collaborative story-telling with other awesome roleplayers, and really getting to know everyone's (and my) character. so just based on that i prefer players who're willing to give roleplay a good go (don't have to be good, just have to be willing to participate). i'm really excited about the island aspect of the campaign since i've been in more landlocked locations in other campaigns, and i like the story behind the valley!

Some additional points that I missed;

LGBTQ friendly as myself and some of my players are part of the community. 

I need players to be 18+. There is no max age, but I do need my players to be atleast 18. There are times where there can be a lot of gore in my campaigns and for me to feel comfortable having other adult topics in my games, I can't have minors. (Like fade to black for example)

My favorite things about dnd are role-playing/getting into a character and character relationships and building out a story. I also love the community and connecting with other people and having a good time! I really love the world-building that you've done. The social/political aspects seems like a great way to explore roleplaying and combat!
