Schedule: Start Time at 11am on Sundays BIWEEKLY. Sessions usually go about 4+ hours.
Roles sought: 2 players.
Game style: Causal? (I'm a newer DM still trying to define my style.)
Now that the general information template is out of the way, let me say thank you for clicking on this post. Two other players and myself are looking for 2 more players to join our Sunday D&D game. We had a Wildemount homebrew game going for half a year, but due to reasons some legit while others are ghostly, we had players quit and that campaign had hit a roadblock. The two other players and I had talked and we settled on playing Curse of Strahd.
What kind of players am I looking for? I'm looking for players who are working adults 18+ Willing to make the commitment of playing and can communicate. (Seriously if you can't show one week, have a complaint/issue, or feel like the group isn't for you send me a message.) Experience? Can be brand new to the game or have a few years experience.
The fun part character creation. What should I role up? Role up whatever you like. Any race from any 5e WOTC book is allowed. (Want to be a Warforge Druid in Ravenloft? Go ahead.) Classes? Pick any of the classes plus Artificer and Blood Hunter are up for grabs. Stat Generation? 4d6 methods reroll 1s.
Sites we use are Discord for voice chat, Roll20 for maps, and you can more than like figure what site we use for character sheets.
What I need from you: If you are interested in this game please reply with the following information. Your Name, your experience with D&D, your favorite thing about D&D, and your favorite D&D Monster. Once again thanks for clicking on this post and taking the time to read it. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi there! I'm Emma, or Slightly if we're going by online personas. I have a few years worth of knowledge on D&D, but only a handful of player and DM sessions under my belt so I would say my experience is somewhere between beginner and intermediate. I love the stories and bonds that come with playing, or even talking about D&D, and the potential to create an unforgettable journey. My favorite monster(s) are devils and archdevils, because while they are classically evil they have the potential to become very powerful allies if you are clever/lucky. My discord handle is SlightlyEmmTay#5827 so shoot me a DM
Hey ! I'm Greg, 47 years old Frenchman, with a 37 years on-and-off experience, and i've been looking for a biweekly sunday game (i work on a chaotic schedule, including some weekends, so weekly games are non-starters for me).
What i love most in D&D is visiting new worlds, and i have a love/hate relationship with Mimics (those buggers...).
My Discord handle is Aramand#4122, seeya soon i hope !
I've played a short 8/9 session campaign and a few one shots before but have thoroughly enjoyed reading through the sourcebooks.
My favourite thing is easily the stories, whether that's the overarching story or the character backstories and the interplay between characters and players.
I love Liches, I think they are such an iconic monster and the true epitomy of what a villain can be. The range of options for Liches from Beholder's to illithilich also means that each lich is entirely unique and that enables so much storytelling.
My discord is AstaelTheDwarf#4390. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hey there. Names Rob. I have no experience playing D&D. I have basic understanding but learn quick. I’m familiar with similar types of games and I know this would be great
Howdy my name is Jason, I have been playing TTRPGs for about 10 years, dnd 5e about 8. My favorite thing about dnd is the stories we can create together and those big wins and those major losses. My favorite monster is the false Hyrda. Its a wonderful creature to run.
If your still looking for people to join, I'd be interested in joining. Been playing around with an idea for a genasi(djinn elf hybrid) I have experience with 3.5e and swffg/genesys. My names Phynster, I have a list of favorite monsters including the djinn, dragons, and gnomes. Don't really have a favorite thing about D&D, there's just too much information and to much that can happen to possibly choose.
Hello I'm Andrew! I'm a dm myself and always wanted to play. I've played around 2 years of constant online and real life groups that all have crumbled so I would love to join if there isn't, it's totally fine
Hi my name is AJ, I used to be a forever DM (also playing in Wildemount) and a player for a couple sessions. I have been playing for a couple of years but I would like to think that I am intermediate level but probably beginner. My favorite thing about D&D is the RP more or less but i really like the clicky clack of dice lol. My favorite monster is a relatively cliche monster but a Mimic is my top I would say.
Hi I'm Quinn. I've got about two years of experience with D&D. I've played Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage, Hoard of the Dragon Queen, and Tomb of Annihilation. I also currently DM Dragon Heist on Wednesdays. My favorite thing about D&D is working together to do cool and funny shit. I also like horror and difficult campaigns. My favorite monster has to be a brass dragon. It's funny how something so powerful is so fickle. They follow intelligent creatures that refuse to talk to it, and they'll even capture creatures and bury all but their head to talk to them. They also look really unique compared to the other dragons. My Discord is Roarkt#1018
My name is Dustin, and I've technically been playing D&D for like 5 or 6 years now. While this is awhile, I've only been a part of 2 campaigns and 1 one shot. I've only ever played with my close friends, but with our sessions being very erratic I was hoping to find another game. I love playing D&D and really wish I could play more.
My favorite thing about D&D is probably the free-form story telling and the way you can bond with your fellow players and DM. I also like the way I can make characters that I want without many limitations besides my own creativity.
My favorite monster sort of depends. I really like Bronze Dragons, and my current fighter/paladin is sort of a fan boy from reading stories about them growing up. My favorite monster I've fought though would probably be a beholder, as I like how all the different eye rays make you really have to maneuver and change strategy to win.
I realize you probably already have enough people since I'm like the 9th person to reply, but just in case I thought I'd post. Discord is Leonomonn#7991
I see that you're pretty inundated but on the offchance you get like 9 dropouts I'd be interested.
I'm Emer, I played 2.5 in my teens (like a decade ago now) but it's getting to the stage I barely remember enough to understand the memes so probably best regarded as a newbie. The thing I like most about D&D is the lore; I keep up even though I haven't been playing for years because I love a good fantasy setting.
Favourite monster is the Otyugh because it's the closest you're going to get to a self cleaning toilet in a fantasy setting.
