Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Game Language: English Experience: Any (Basic knowledge) Location/Timezone: Any (within reason) Schedule: Saturdays 12:00PM - *5:00PM PST (regular session at least every second week, please only people that are available weekly) *Fixed Timeframe Roles sought: 2-3 Players [interested in a long term campaign] Game style: difficulty & seriousness medium, balanced combat and roleplay, roleplay in character, starting lvl 3 + bonus personalisation skill, no permadeath, classic fantasy, homebrew world, archipelago-like environment, played Background section, open story + character exploration. Tools: D&D Beyond and Roll20 (maps only).
General Notes:
A short Pre-Campaign compatibility test campaign / oneshot & session 0 will take place before getting started with the campaign.
Weekly availability for the sake of “as many sessions as possible”, “habit”, “bonds” and possible side activities regarding the campaign like a “Character Q&A”.
A Microphone with decent quality audio and somewhat quiet surroundings are required.
Please check out all of the sections too to see if you’re comfortable with their contents.
Additional rules may be added later on for the sake of balance or enjoyment.
Game Style Notes:
Roleplay in character doesn’t require a distinctive voice. [Also non constant needed?]
A “Bonus Personalisation skill” is balanced together with either DM or the group. It exists to offer characters a bit of additional unique flavor.
No Permadeath. Fallen Characters revive through “revival sidequests”.
TPKs are “Party Downs” instead, though not without consequences (e.g.: Failed the Objective).
Higher Standard Array (17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8)
Silvery Barbs and possibly other spells will be banned (to be discussed)
Dragonborn and Kobolds feature a different subrace option if they’re of descent from “The True City”
An Actual Angel [M] from Heaven [He / Him] What’s up gamers! I’m Scyveri, I’ve been playing tabletop games for quite a while now, my first experience was with a board game based on AD&D when I was still a tiny cherub and then I started playing real TTRPGs with Call of Cthulhu when I was in high school. I’ve been a DM more often than a player, starting as the DM of a tiny two person group with my only friend back in high school and eventually picking up a few more nerds along the way. I even DMed for a Podcast once before, I think we had three whole listeners! But even if nobody was listening it was a lot of fun playing and recording! Eventually, as all gamers must, I wound up returning to D&D and now I’m somehow the DM for this project! It’s really exciting and also makes me a little nervous but I’ll do my best so let’s be friends, okay~?
Manager-san tells me my intro is too short so here’s some more random facts about me! I like pretty much anything nerdy, from video games to anime to old fashioned book reading. Here are some random things I like! Games: Fire Emblem, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Resident Evil, Doooooom Anime: Outlaw Star (the first anime I really got into), Stars Align, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Legend of the Galactic Heroes Books: The Hyperion Cantos, The Mistborn Trilogy, The Lightbringer Series I’ve also been super obsessed with cozmez from Paradox Live lately (seriously, send help, I bought too much merch…)! Vtubers are pretty cool too, I guess… if you’re a NERD. Heh, gottem.

Player 1 Introduction: Player: 25y/o [M] from Germany. [He / Him] {Cis / Het} Hello, I’m Manager-san Eboncloak, the Poster of this LFP. I am a (very) small streamer (on hiatus) that loves Video Games, Board Games and TTRPGs as well as Anime, Let’s Plays and Streams. My first D&D game was in either 3,5e or 4e, though my table didn’t properly play the game back then. My love for D&D rekindled with 5e. I love creating characters, though I have yet to play a game beyond lvl 6. So far I’ve played a Bard, a Paladin and a Blood Hunter in campaigns. I want to some day try out every class in a campaign. I don’t have much experience in editing, but I will probably also be the one to record, edit and upload the podcast episodes.
Some of my Favourite Game Franchises Include: Fire Emblem, SoulsBorne, DragonAge(1+2) and Danganronpa. My favourite Anime is Code Geass followed by Utawarerumono(2006). As for LP’s & Streamers, I currently watch NicoB and some VTubers of NijisanjiEN.
Character: Vian Edling, Kalashtar (Human) Rogue
Vian is a Mastermind Rogue who is a bit fearful of magic since he’s not acquainted with it. His alignment is mostly Lawful Good, though I don’t play with clear cut alignments and he knows he can’t win fights fighting fair (without sneak attack). Without Proficiencies in Sleight of Hand or Stealth, he isn't exactly a classic Rogue. (This is also my first Rogue.) He’s a (female leaning) Bisexual. He seeks to make himself widely known under an alias for some reason. He comes from a wealthier household, never having had to worry about food or comfort. He likes to put on a facade of a person with no worries, though he misses his home. As he finds himself adventuring on the Crescent Isles, he dreams of his home, which doesn't help with his homesickness. How will he deal with his new environment? How will he change? Will he find his way home?
Potentially Problematic Character Content: [Isekai; slightly sexual content]
Vian is an Isekai Character (Meaning he’s from a different world than the one we’re playing in)
He’s got a (low) sexual element to him. It's not about seduction but rather invitation and spreading his name for reasons of his own. Don’t worry, it’s a fade to black and “comedic” “performance” roll.

Player 2 Introduction: Player: Villager B, (they/them, but I'm fine with either pronoun, so don't sweat it); from Germany but forgets how to German all the time. I'm just a regular worker in the wonderful field of looking at spelling and typography mistakes that companies, authors and customers make in their works while trying to make them follow rules they hate. Therefore, you might hear the occasional dumb pun from me because I'm obsessed with language. Other than that, I like games, books, anime and collecting journals that I will fill eventually, for sure. My first contact with tabletop games was back as a kid with HeroQuest - playing a tiny Elf who would later be the inspiration for my first character in a D&D campaign. Even though it unfortunately never reached its end, it made me fall in love with D&D. Some one-shots and a long campaign later, here I am ready for more. So far I've played a Ranger, Barbarian, Gunslinger (who shot down a Hydra three times and then drank tea angrily) and Monk (who slaps people with his very long braided hair). Would be great to try some obscure builds one day when the time is right.
Speaking of games: My favourites are Strategy, JRPGs and Metroidvania, as well as the occasional Survival and Horror. But, honestly, if you can hook me, I'll play your game to death. Currently eagerly waiting for Triangle Strategies to release. Fire Emblem is neat, Hades and Hollow Knight have consumed more hours of my life than I want to admit. There's also Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima. Phasmophobia is what my sister and I use as sibling bonding time. I'm not ashamed to say that Haikyuu is on my favourite anime list. It shares the list with Dorohedoro, Golden Kamuy, Iruma-kun and Tiger&Bunny. On YouTube and Twitch, I mostly watch speedruns or Canadian E-Sports professional Ryan "Northernlion" Letourneau.
Character: Vaedis Fixiazhelf, Genasi Cleric
He's unironically introduced himself as "whoever you want me to be" more than once and also been punched in the face an unhealthy amount of times. It comes with the job. Where Vian shies away from Sleight of Hand, Vaedis will absolutely jump in and be a sneaky bastard in the name of freedom. Yes, he's a Cleric, at least that's what his family wants him to be - yet Vaedis likes things with a twist. He'd also like to twist the necks of the ones who have stolen something from him that he valued even more than freedom. Being a Cleric comes in quite handy while Vaedis tries to make a living on the streets with his little tricks while he's preparing to make something of his life eventually. For the time being, Vaedis just swings towards all the directions like the Chaotic Neutral he is. So, what will he become during this journey?
Potentially Problematic Character Content: [Strong Language] Not overused and constantly present, but Vaedis can be a potty mouth occasionally.
—------------------------------------------
World Introduction:
Premise: For more than three millennia the Crescent Isles have been cut off from the wider world of Aledor by the wild monster-infested Sea of Death. Then, twenty years ago, the endless storms of the Sea of Death suddenly quieted without warning, ushering in a new age of exploration and discovery. Explorers from all walks of life, spanning from the Elvish Albon Empire to the Human Alliance of Thirald and the Dwarven Southguard Kingdoms descended on the Isles, coming into contact with one another to a degree that the Sea of Death had previously made impossible. They came expecting only ancient ruins but discovered that a native population was already living on the Isles.
As the civilizations of the old world descend on the Crescent Isles it is a time of great change for the world of Aledor. Will the PCs align themselves with one or more of the established powers of the old world, help the natives to maintain their independence, or carve out a kingdom of their own?
Outside Faction Introduction:
Elvish Albon Empire The misty, forest covered isle of Albon is home to an advanced Elvish civilization, though few people other than the native High Elves are allowed deep enough within the forests to see the Empire’s capital with its magnificent spires and towers, all grown out of living, natural wood by master Elvish magicians. Ideologically, the Albonese Elves claim to be pacifistic but they view themselves as wiser than the other races and that they should be in charge of them for their own good. They are not afraid to back up their beliefs with force and their sleek, elegant vessels are among the finest sailing ships in Aledor.
Human Alliance of Thirald For generations the Thiraldi kingdoms waged war upon one another in fierce internal struggles for power. The two continents that make up the Alliance were once split into the Northern and Southern Kingdoms, isolated from the rest of the world by the turbulent waters of the Sea of Death. A hundred and twenty years ago the Northern Kingdoms were brought under a single banner by the tyrant Matthew the Kind and fifty years ago the Southern Kingdoms were brought into the Alliance by his grandson Grant the Unifier. The Alliance is the youngest of the major powers and the least stable. Scheming nobles vie for power amid the court of Thirald and there are as many different ideologies as there are minor powers in the Alliance. The Crescent Isles present an opportunity for the Alliance to cement its position as a world power and those who are able to assert themselves there may very well be the next generation of leadership in the Alliance.
Dwarven Southguard Kingdoms Masters of the underground, the clans of the Southguard are preeminent merchants and traders. The various underground cities of the Southguard are mostly independent from one another and connected by tunnel-roads but the Clans that rule them are united in a pact of mutual protection with fealty to a single ruler, the King of the Southguard. They maintain friendly relationships with the Human Alliance and a mutual disdain with the Albon Elves but are more interested in securing exciting new business opportunities and mining rights than claiming territory to rule over.
Known Locations: The Westmost Port Town of “New Water”, a Human Thirald settlement. The Southern Dwarven outpost “Keystone”, a Southguard settlement. The Northeastern Fortress of “Fort Enlightenment”, an Elvish Albon settlement. The Dragon City “The True City” on top of Lostpeak Mountain, the Dragon Isle. [Northwest] The Regal Bazar “Oasis”, in the Blacksand Dunes. [Southeast] The Floating City “Twin Haven”, in the Calmwaters Bay. [North] The Fallen City “Obsidia”, in the Whitewing Marshes. [centralized]
World Notes:
“World features “blank” areas for player additions”
“Campaign will feature an ocean traveling element using rules for sea travel and combat”
—------------------------------------------
Campaign Beginning: Buildup
Prologue Background Segment: The Campaign will start off with a “background segment” in which either events occurring immediately before the “Prologue Second Phase” play out or some more or less important event from a character’s past.
Prologue Second Phase: The character will meet at least one other party member and go on a quest together before meeting up with the rest of the party at “Campaign Start”.
Campaign Start: The different groups of characters meet each other where they encounter a “minor(?) plot hook”.

Well I wouldn't mind trying out I get off work an hour or two before it would start though I prefer chatting about it then just typing it all up. I have a few ideas for characters to play as but i'd want to try to balance it out not have all rouges or barbarians so its all one sided. I have been thinking about maybe going cleric.
I am in EST by the way if that helps at all
I work early morning Saturdays but get off at least 2 hours before it would start so the time works. Discord is:Themagicman#9227 if you have any questions
I would love to join the campaign, I've been looking for more experience with other dnd players. My Dm for my other current campaign with one of my oldest characters has been unavailable and we have been unable to continue our campaign until February (2021). I'm not the most experienced but I've been trying to seize more opportunities to learn more about certain parts of the game. The character I would use for this adventure would be my teifling, Neki. They are intelligent, and teach their studies to others, as well as being a regular customer and helper at their towns library. Their alignment it chaotic good. They constantly try to shake the misconception and mistrust of tieflings. They are mildly strong but their main utility is there knowledge and strategy. They are quiet and prefer to keep to themselves except to ask questions or give answers and suggestions. They are atheist and do not care much for religious reasoning. In this campaign they would have come to the crescent isles to explore and study its inhabitants and nature. They have been wishing to expand their studies and have started traveling to different places that catch their interest.
I must say I am usually busy with work of my own but I should usually be free on weekends.
Hello I definitely would like to try and play within this campaign. I have a lot of different character ideas that I would like to try out if given the chance,I also am trying to learn and improve with audio editing so it would be cool if I could help and also learn from Manager-san on that part lol! Also my time zone is EST but I almost never work on Saturdays so I'm pretty free all day. If I do in the rare chance to have to work I would still be able to make it in time.
Hey, I'd like to join this campaign! The setting looks awesome and lived in, and I can't agree more with the limitations and rules set forth. I feel like I have a decent quality microphone, and everyone seems pretty awesome from what I read. my Discord is unrealzorua#1332 if you wanna reach out? I wanna chat and see if we click at all. :P
We've gotten a decent amount of replies and messages regarding this LFP so far so we'll be closing it for now. Should we still be looking for Players after checking in with everyone I will post an update on our situation.
Thank you everyone. (I've sent everyone who I haven't talked to yet a Private message or a Discord request)
