Hi everyone, I have a PBP (play-by-post) group that's currently looking for players. We have several members already, but our group is a Westmarches-style of game.
What is Westmarches? Instead of traditional d&d, a Westmarches-style game is more on your time. It is mainly RP, and the DMs (there are more than one to accommodate for the extra players) run sessions intermittently throughout the week-ending up with one or two sessions a week, depending on player and DM schedules.
Role play is 24/7 and there are dozens of NPCs and PCs for your character to interact with throughout the day/night.
The world is completely homebrew. Our server is growing more and more every day, due to the interactions of our players with the world.
Players level individually, based on how many sessions they join. However, there is a minimum level in the server (two levels below the highest level player) so that no one gets too far behind. It's no fun to get murdered immediately because you started later.
RP is through Discord. Sessions are on Roll20 with Discord voice.
Due to more mature themes discussed, we are asking for only 18+ players. We are not an NSFW/smut server.
If you're interested or have more questions, please feel free to PM me! Discord Lexinator 3000#0112
If you want to join, fill this out please!:

Sorry...I'm currently 17. However, on May 24th I will turn 18... If you can't accept me I understand. But if you can. Here's my favored race, class, etc.
Favored Race: Tiefling
Favored Class: Rogue, Or Noble.
I enjoy it when my DM Makes The Roleplay Feels Like somewhat a reality.
I hate when the DM Competes Against us.
Playstyle: I Don't exactly have one yet. Still Choosing.
Your experience playing D&D: I am a bit of a forever DM looking to player for once. I have five years of 5e under my belt, and 2 of AD&D 1e. I also play starfinder and mutants and masterminds.
Your favored race: Variant Human, Genasi, and Bugbear. I want to know more about the setting before I pick
Your favored class: Fighter, followed closely by Sorcerer
I enjoy when my DM… Makes a strong effort to keep everyone involved engaged. I also like when the DM provides strategic and social challenges.
I dislike when my DM… Handholding. I don't want to be told to roll perception unless I specifically ask to. It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine.
What is typically your favorite play style (if you’ve never played before, what style do you think you’d prefer)? Open world with a strong mix of engaging combat and strong character moments. I realize that this is a Westmarches, so there will likely be a strong exploration focus. I love that. Thus, I am a very balanced player.
Anything else you find important to mention: As a college student and athlete, I may struggle to find times, but would love to play all the same.
Your experience playing D&D: multiple campaigns of 5e, mostly playing casters
Your favored race: Harendon, Kobold, Satyr, Githyanki (depending on details of the world… discrimination, min/max lvl,
Your favored class: Wizard, Bard, Sorcerer (but pretty flexible for class)
I enjoy when my DM… has a good ability to know when to let the RP go and when to bring the group onto/back to a worthy story arc
I dislike when my DM… let’s player’s overly referee rule technicalities. Important for the DM to make decisions without getting flustered.
What is typically your favorite play style (if you’ve never played before, what style do you think you’d prefer)? 1) daring, witty, extrapolatory, or 2) caring, cautious, inquisitory,
I enjoy when my DM…Gives an even balance of RP and combat. Haven't played before so it's more just so i can learn to see what i enjoy more between the two.
I dislike when my DM…shows obvious favoritism to a single PC.
What is typically your favorite play style (if you’ve never played before, what style do you think you’d prefer)? I think i would prefer combat as i have have never actually played yet, so have not RPed ever.
Anything else you find important to mention: Due to my work schedule and being a totally noob at D&D this type of server seems like the best way for me to actually be able to find ppl to play with.
Your experience playing D&D: Handful of one shots and a campaign in 5e, seasoned spectator. Definitely looking to jump back into roleplaying since my last campaign just ended
Your favored race: Halfling or Variant human
Your favored class: Any though would like to experiment with either a cleric or a bard
I enjoy when my DM… makes an effort to create a safe and immersive environment for players, lets players role-play with NPCs
I dislike when my DM… rushes players while roleplaying or gets impatient with newbies, constantly throws combat at players essentially unprompted
What is typically your favorite play style (if you’ve never played before, what style do you think you’d prefer)? Heavy roleplaying; As I’m still getting my footing with 5e I’m not super familiar with all playing styles but I’m not particularly picky.
Anything else you find important to mention:
I’m in the AEST and generally very in terms of availability. If you need to reach me, my discord is ohokcool#6240
Your experience playing D&D: I have approx a years experience half player half dm
Your favored race: Half-Elf (Any Variant)
Your favored class: Sorcerer
I enjoy it when my DM makes a world feel immersive.
I dislike when my DM railroads.
What is typically your favorite play style (if you’ve never played before, what style do you think you’d prefer)? I prefer using maps etc. and don't always enjoy theatre of the mind unless the situation is purely rp dialogue.
Your experience playing D&D: about 15 years, but only a couple of months of 5e
Your favored race: Anything except elves
Your favored class: Anything except cleric
I enjoy when my DM… Allows us to role-play and bends the game to make sure it remains fun
I dislike when my DM… Is a power gamer only interested in battles. I also dislike it when parties have all kinds of alignments/races but the evil players play as good anyway.
What is typically your favorite play style (if you’ve never played before, what style do you think you’d prefer)? I like adventuring, not just battles
I'm UK based and joined a US based West marches server before. The time zone differences made it hard to join the voice sessions so I didn't get to experience the server to it's fullest
Your experience playing D&D: new, but keen. Seeking first campaign. I very much enjoyed watching campaigns on YouTube by Critical Role and Viva La Dirt League
Your favoured race: usually High Elf, but the character I want to play right now is human
Your favoured class: usually paladin, but the character I have in my head is a dual class bard-sorcerer. but more College of Swords, seeing as I see this character as a master with rapier and dagger. Happy to send over background on request.
I enjoy when my DM: first time, so no idea really. I guess I would say really focuses on the RP rather than emphasising combat, create interesting and complex opportunities to go about encounters differently and think things out. Most importantly, though, helps allow mechanics that allow me to play the character in my head
I dislike when my DM: ignores backstory and character (does this happen?), isn’t open to ideas because of rules lawyering (again, does this happen?)
What is typically a favourite play style: heavy RP, I would think, with lots of opportunities for interactions with NPC’s e.g. persuasion, ideally also intrigue, dilemmas and consequences matter
Anything else important: I have a high spinal injury so operate the computer mainly using voice recognition software, which is bad for clicking and dragging. From what I’ve seen of Roll20, character tokens must be clicked and dragged, so I would probably need assistance from the DM to move the character token where I indicate verbally during a session. Happy to discuss anything else further
