I tend to be a pretty busy guy w/ job and two kids, and have not really gotten to play since 4e, but would like to get back into a D&D game group. I am Arizona time -7GMT and would like to get a biweekly group together and could play Thursday or Friday nights, or possibly weekend nights if that is better for others.
I have an ultimate Fantasy Grounds license, so could run VTT from there w/o anyone needing to purchase any software. I have not played or Dmed 5th edition but have a fair amount of experience w/ earlier editions, so think I could pick it up in a few sessions, game would probably be best for newer players though, so we could all learn together.
I was thinking I could run the lost mine of Phandelver as a starter module for everyone if I get enough interest. game would probably be 40/60 roleplay to combat I am guessing, but that may change depending upon the group and what everyone wants the game to be. game sessions would probably be 2-3 hours typically, but we might run longer if everyone has time, or play weekly depending on everyone's schedule.
I have used skype in the past for voice chat and don't typically stream webcams just to save screenspace for the FG interface, I have heard discord is a better voicechat option these days but have not used it myself, I could look into that if it is preferred.
I am willing to DM, but could also join a group as a player and/or share DM role w/ others as well so everyone gets to play from time to time.
