About Me: My name's Strider (M26) & I've been playing & DMing various TTRPGs for over 10 years. I've recently made the switch from Roll20 to Foundry Virtual TableTop for 5E but don't mind going back for the right group.
I'm hoping to join a high-level group but prefer the focus of 2-4 invested players + a very passionate DM. Why not make a new level 3 character? I'm bummed great characters get forever benched if a game or group fizzles out too soon. My hope is to join a group that accepts characters who are not native to the setting at hand, whether that's common or impossibly rare in your game.
My Gameplay Style: If you have a secret history to your setting, I like to unearth it. I enjoy exploring the battle maps, tinkering with elements to create unexpected interactions. I enjoy a splash of tactics in combat, making use of cover or pressing other environmental advantages. I prefer to resolve encounters without needless violence and compromise with NPCs instead of (always) getting off scot-free. Proudly, I take contextual risks without putting up a hundred safeguards. Example: Would swallowing a Bag of Devouring probably kill me? Yes. However, is there a chance this material sacrifice will appease my patron of Infinite Hunger? Only one way to find out. (It did.) Finally, I know when to pass the spotlight to a character who may appreciate it more in a given moment, and give them the honors of their specialty.
Please consider my Eberron-native Half-Elf "Infiltrator" (Rogue/Bard/Warlock), his potency, versatility, homebrew baggage that you might come to expect of existing 14th level PCs, and weigh it against the mountains of ammo I'd be happy to provide you to shoot me with.
