Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: 8 years DMing and Playing Location/Timezone: Eastern US using EST Schedule: One game every other Tuesday, 6-10 pm est. and one game every other Friday, 6-10 pm est. Roles sought: Looking for 3 players for my Tuesday game and 4-5 players for my Friday Game. Game style:
Game Intro: Is a frozen land shrouded in mystery and danger. Since the Division led to the fall of the Old Empire, the inhabitants of The Ashen North have lived solely on tribal-like survival and reliance on the powerful Clan Guilds. Fear of the Darkmoss forest, or what lives within, and the powerful storm of ash have kept the societies of the North separated from each other and the rest of the world for hundreds of years. Loosely connected by limited trade and similar issues, the societies of the North often share two things in common: A suspicious and fearful townsfolk.
Mainly a meritocratic society, the villages and occasional cities are often run by Baron Lords and Kings. No matter who runs them, they often bend a knee when in need to the Clan Guilds. When not working for one of Lords of the realm, the Clan Guilds are often exploring and hunting in the Darkmoss Forest, the Spice Points, or, when paid enough, The Divide.
But something has changed. The Ash has stopped falling. Life begins to stir in parts of the land once dormant. The forest has begun to grow, swallowing small towns and hunting coves. Yet, it is still dead. No leaves blossom on the trees, bushes are still shriveled and dry, and the grass still crunches into dust underfoot. And worse still, monsters have been seen on the edges of the wood. Some even spread rumors from the Goliath Clan that monsters have been terrorizing villages and farmers. Something strange is happening indeed; but what is the question many, like myself, are asking. But with no answers brought to us alive, many are claiming the end of days is upon us.
Tech. Info: The game will be gritty-fantasy and horror-inspired, where monsters are mostly unknown and common people are naturally suspicious of everything that isn't themselves. The party will start off in the small town of Lichet where a strange string of disappearance has left The Baron in search of help and hopefully grow from there. We will be using Roll20 as our table/character sheets and Discord for audio. Sessions will be roughly 4 hours long, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. est, but will push a bit longer if necessary and ok with players. Session 0 will be free!
Hate will not be tolerated. This table is LGBTQ+ and will accept all LGBTQ+ and POC. Racism, transphobia, homophobia, or general triggering or hate speech on purpose will get you kicked and banned from the table with no refund.
If you have any questions, please post them below! Looking to join? I will have both links to the page below. Is the game full? Comment which game you would have liked to join below, and I'll look into setting up another game soon! Cheers!
