It has been a while since my last D&D campaign, so I am a bit rusty and I don't have a decent TTRPG network in my area, so I figured I'd look around on the forums.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: A handful of years and campaigns Location/Timezone: EST Availability: Mon/Tues/Wed Nights (After 5:30 PM EST) Preferred role: Player Game style: Really anything that is not hardcore, overly complicated, or reliant on just one aspect of the game.
Here's a bit about me. I've played ten campaigns or so since I started in 2017/2018, almost all of them plagued by your typical D&D plagues: lack of scheduling, toxic players, loss of interest, poor DMing, etc. We mostly used D&D Beyond, Roll20, and Discord. Only three managed to get past the first few sessions... but ultimately fell apart midway (one had a toxic DM, one became "TPK each session," and the other had people move away). I could probably post them to Reddit with some of the drama that ensued.
This put me off of D&D for about a year, and now I'm looking to return... but the aforementioned moving and toxicity have basically shattered my TTRPG community (I used to host Call of Cthulhu one-shots a while ago as well) and now with my new place I figure finding an online community is the way to go. I tend to have detailed characters and take notes while I play (albeit, poor notes), but I'm not much of a "voices and dress up" guy. I like having a set schedule to work around, so Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays are the only times I can set up and dedicate my time to D&D [subject to work of course].
If you want someone for a campaign, let me know. I could even go over my first long-term character's split soul problem and how he was enslaved by a powerful lich in an effort to become free from the morality that held him back. I generally try to check my messages when I get home from work so it may take a few hours to respond.
