This campaign setting is based on backing this wildly successful kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2144996758/dungeons-of-drakkenheim , bringing characters through levels 1-13(and beyond!) in a cursed city of political intrigue, dangerous monstrosities, warped magic, rival factions, character development and hard choices. While a sandbox campaign, this campaign takes place entirely within the urban setting of the city of Drakkenheim and it’s immediate surrounding areas. About Me
Lifelong fantasy enthusiast, been playing dnd for the past 2 years. I prioritize fun over a hard stance on every minor rule, and am super open to feedback and changing elements of the campaign to ensure that all the players are getting the most out of it possible. This will be my first time DMing a full fledged campaign, so it may start a tad rocky, but the source material is an inspiration for me to make this a fantastic campaign for all involved
Character Creation
All races/classes in all published materials are good, as well as some custom backgrounds from the world of Drakkenheim will be available for you to read through in the discord, as well as some background information about the world and personal quests that can help you tailor your character to the surrounding region. The creators did a helpful video here: https://youtu.be/Pc3ToyjcClo . More information will be available in the discord, but certain races may need to forego certain traits (predominantly flight and not needing to breath) in order to not ruin the early stage of the campaign. If you would like these races, we will work together to figure out alternative features, and possibly a path to regain those features as the campaign goes on.
Time
We will run this weekly from 2-6 PM EST on Sundays, starting on Feb 20. While life does happen and occasionally a player will need to miss a session, given that this is a primarily character driven campaign it is ideal for candidates to have that time slot consistently open for the foreseeable future.
Voice/chat will be on discord, VTT will be roll20, characters in DnDbeyond (ideally).

Hi, my friend and I are looking for a group to join right now and yours sounds ideal. We are GMT time zone so that would be Sunday evenings for us, which is absolutely perfect. We're in our mid 20s and have been playing since our late teens, I've always been the DM but really wanted to join a game as a player as well. I'm not sure about my friend but I have an LG aasimar sorcerer I've been wanting to play for years, though I'm happy to adapt her sheet to fit in with a team and have other characters that could work well also. Hi, my name is Jay, I'm 24 years old and I've been playing dnd for 6 years now. I love reading, writing, drawing, and playing videogames. Some of my favorite videogames are Resident Evil, Little Nightmares, Borderlands, Persona and Devil May Cry.
My character concept is a reborn spirits Bard named Kalina who was a young noble woman whose family's fortune was quickly waning. Desperate, they married her off to a suspicious Aristocrat, Lord Byron when she was only eighteen. Although he was gentlemanly in courting her, Kalina was still somewhat suspicious of him. Sometime after their marriage, Kalina had discovered that Lord Byron was a vampire intent on turn her into one to join his consorts. Fearful, Kalina fled back to her parents who did not believe her and sent her back to Byron, in her desperation, she killed herself so she would not become a vampire. Her elder brother paid a cleric to resurrect her, however she is a reborn/hollow one instead of a regular human. She now plots revenge on her parents as well as Lord Byron.

Even though I'm new I still have a good grasp on the basic rules of d&d, and how they work. I love the roleplaying aspect of d&d and going through an adventure together with people that enjoy the same hobby as me. I would say I'm pretty relaxed and I like having fun and making jokes. That said, I'm also fairly new to the roleplaying aspect of d&d, but I'm still improving. I do have an idea for a character that is a Monk, but I can discuss the details with you if I get chosen.
