I am interested in joining either a new or pre-existing campaign, that is played on a weekly bases (Free To Play). Ideally Monday/Friday/Saturday any time from 5pm PDT onward is fine.
Me: Alastair. Discord: Fezzaa#6058. Have been DMing for a bout a year (about to hit our 1year anniversary this month, yay!)and have joined a few campaigns as a player but have had them all fall apart mostly due to lack of stability/attendance. I love to create art too and have many drawing etc done from campaigns of characters and/or memorable moments. Age: 32 Style of playing: Fan of everything, and where possible combining multiple things at once. In my opinion RolePlaying can and should spill over to combat too. I'd say a 50/50 split is perfect balancing RP with Combat.
When responding I have a few basic questions, to try to get some more info about the campaign. Would almost certainly PM to try to get some more info as well afterwards.
1) Are you allowing human variants/feats in general.
2) Are there any limitations to races/class archetypes/feats/alignments that you'd want the players to have (or any official sources entirely i.e. nothing from Tasha's Guide etc)? Perhaps another way of phrasing would be are you a fan of 'combos' or trying to avoid them? Such as the Lucky feat in general, or Sentinel plus Crusher feats, or any races with fly speeds/pack tactics.
3) What sources of material are players allowed to use? Just standard player's handbook or allowing UA/Xanathar's/Tasha's/SCAG etc.
4) What level is the party starting/currently at.
I have also filled in some info below for some possible characters to play;
Class: Paladin
Subclass: Oath of the Crown Feat for level one (if using/human variant allowed): Would opt for Chef for RP purposes.
Preferredrace: Dwarf
Quick backstory summary: Would love to work on this potentially together via discord or something similar to both make the character interesting to both the other players, but also fit into the world.
-
Class: Monk. They've always interested me and I've never gotten to either play as one, or even with one so would love to see how they feel. Subclass: Way of the Astral Self archetype is one that I think would allow for a great balance of uniquely interesting combat as well as some out of combat things too at mid levels.
Feat for level one (if using/human variant allowed): Fighting Style, choosing Unarmed Specialist. Preferred race: Honestly not that fussed, would pick Variant human for the feat at lvl 1, if doing them. Otherwise I'm fairly flexible. Firbolg/Harengon/Tabaxi/Human(normal)/Shifter/Goblin and more would all be fine with me.
-
Class: Cleric
Subclass: Grave
Feat for level one (if using/human variant allowed): Warcaster (less for the reaction, but for the maintenance of concentration spells which is 75% of cleric toolkits).
Preferred race: Honestly not that fussed, would have picked Variant human/Shifter for the feat at lvl 1

I look forward to hearing from you and if there's any more info/questions you'd have from me I'm more than happy to try to answer them.
