DM Name: Marching Game: D&D 5e Homebrew Group type: Online (Discord, D&D Beyond & Foundry/Forge) Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time Schedule: Saturday @1:00 EST beginning on March 19th, 2022. Roles sought: (Currently closed, have 5/5) Game style: We'll be starting with adventureand hack and slash (because we're starting with a simple quest), however, if the group wants to continue together into a full campaign, we'll move into a good balance that emphasizes role-playing. About me: I've grown to really enjoy D&D 5e and I am always learning (and open to, and encourage, out-of-game critique). I run character driven campaigns (that means it is all about you, the player), as well as base all components and rules on the source material. Therefore, I am looking for a similar style of gamer who likes to have fun, fully engage in the fantasy, and enjoys playing the game as it has been designed. Requirements: Must be 18+, must have Discord, must be willing to verbally engage, must be kind, and must be a positive contributor (no offense if the group turns out not to be a fit). Campaign Starting Level: 3 and we'll be using "milestone" for consistency. Brief Description: The players will be on a hunt for the "Karkendrome," a magical item, the second of its kind, which is needed to keep the "Stairvenkroth" form laying waste to the town where the adventurers first meet up. Additional details will be provided at the beginning of the campaign. Furthermore, we'll have a brief one-on-one meeting on Discord to discuss your character and backstory prior to the first day of our campaign.
If you are interested, please DM me your application (below) on Discord @Marching#8361 - You may also reply to this post if you have additional questions.

Name: HappyTree#0757 Time zone: CST Looking for: Im looking for a campaign with high player agency and decent RP potential. (Able to get to know other player characters better but also get to know townsfolk) Playing what: I think I might enjoy playing a druid. Im flexible on race, but I like Minotaurs and Goliaths.. might try a Firbolg. Experience: Been playing off and on for about a year. Mostly I DM homebrew one shots. I run one long campaign for a single player. Ive only been a player maybe 8 times. Mostly one shots. I watch several different dnd games online and have a decent idea of most common rule concepts. Commitment: I can definitely commit for 4-5 weeks straight. For CST it would be noon till when? Any set end time?
Thank you for posting and sharing your application. If you sent a friend request on Discord, you should be able to message me now. The end time will be after 4 hours (break at approx. hour 2) and a hard stop rule at hour 5 (if the entire group wants to continue after hour 4). Thanks again.

I have a subscription to both Foundry and the Forge, so players will have access to those tools with a simple free subscription (I will send all players the players a link to those tools). As for sourcebooks, I use most of them, but do have some limits, which will be discussed during our one-on-one character building session before the first group meet-up. Thank you for your interest and question.
