Hello, I am a DM running a 5e Epic Campaign that's set in a Homebrew Realm called "Albion" I have been running adventures in this realm for the last five years with various players. The last group of players essentially annihilated their own existence as well as the existence of that particular universe by seeing what would happen if they tried to cut a bag of holding. The end result was that of the same thing that might happen with a black hole. So they had to restart, which just illustrates that I am not afraid to kill everyone in your party for the ignorant and selfish decisions a player's character might make, like to see what would happen if a bag of holding was cut. So keep in mind, if your character does something stupid, you'll know it. That aside though, I am looking for 5 players to start an epic campaign with the end game at level 19-20. Below is a list of requirements I need from you so that I can decide if you're a good fit. But what it really comes down to, is first come first serve. Ive been DMing for about 20 years and I have experience in 2nd 3rd, 3.5 and 5e, but my favorite is 5e.

This sounds awesome! I'm totally down for this. I dont have a character yet, but I'm pretty open to play almost anything that a party needs (with the exception of maybe a cleric).

My internet is mostly reliable. I do lose connection every once in a while, but I usually have it up in like 5 minutes or more.
I've played DnD since 1995. I started off with 2nd edition, played through 3x. I skipped 4th edition and I've been DMing 5e since 2015. My favorite thing about DnD is getting immersed into the story and character that I'm playing. My least favorite thing has to be players being antagonistic towards other players, power gaming, and players complaining about other players characters. I've played for to long, and don't have a whole lot of free time to deal with DnD drama. There is only a few things I really expect from a DM. He/she needs to have at least put some time into running their game, and are open with their players about any issues that might arise between players. Again, very done with DnD drama. I think my ability to respect the DM (especially since I do that most of the time) and the player is one of my main goals outside of having fun. Everyone should be having fun, including the DM, and not just one or two players that like causing problems/need to be the best in the party.
Player Name: Sean Age: 31 Location/Timezone: Central Standard Time Microphone/Headset: Yes and Yes, both in excellent working condition - bought last month Do you have reliable internet: Yes, rarely have any issues
Character Name: Gae-Al Thalai Vaimei-Laga Class: Fighter, Wizard, Warlock Alignment: Lawful Neutral Sex: Male Race: Goliath Age: 23 General Appearance: A very tall emaciated, pale skinned young man with distinctive markings upon face and brow. He dons mage robes which appear to aligned with an organization, but also have seen much travel. Ornaments and trinkets dangle from his person some which which have no obvious use even to those of the arcane persuasion. Roll a % twice for me (two D10's each roll): (5, 14) Background: Wanted Strixhaven Initiate (Quandrix Student or similar organization), but if this background isn't desired/available in the setting happy to go with Sage (Researcher)
Player Experience: 5 years approx. Favorite thing about D&D: Story-telling, worldbuilding & discovery of lore, and playing with other curious minds Least Favorite thing about D&D: The occasional self interested ego player What do you expect from the DM?: Fair time in the spotlight for everyone, an interactive world, and clear communication of expectations What do you expect from other players?: Respect of one another and cooperation in this collaborative roleplaying game Are you willing to respect all players and DM?: Without question
Are you available to play Once a week for up to 5 months, possibly longer?: Yes I am If you are unable to make it, or are sick, or otherwise disposed, will you tell the DM ahead of time?: Yes I will
Are you ready for an epic adventure of intrigue, mystery, scandal, heroism, and glory?: The sound of it already has my little heart skipping; yes I am
Backstory Summary: Gae-Al Thalai Vaimei-Laga. Outcast. Pariah. Worthless. From birth his people were disappointed him; great expectations had been set upon his shoulder as a babe and he failed to meet every one of them. Shameful as it was, his presence was tolerated until the coming of age ceremony; where his shame was born. Forced to leave his home and estranged from his clan as a young man unfamiliar with the world below the mountains, Gae-Al found succor when a traveling hedge mage offered him shelter for a few days. A few days became weeks and then months until finally his feet tread upon the institution that would accept him as he was. Though the teachings of his people could never be removed from his heart he found Albion with its many intricacies...fascinating. Four years at the university and the tug of adventure called to him once he learned all he knew. Remade as a mage, the outlooks of proving himself worth of the name Vaimei-Laga now seemed possible. He would perform of a feat worthy of their notice and return to them...
Special Notes: Some assumptions were made in this character's creation. Depending on the outcome of discussions in session 0, I would like to reserve the right to change aspects of my character or the entire character--to of course fit in the setting and the dm's expectations.
Favorite thing about D&D: Getting to have fun and interact with people
Least Favorite thing about D&D: When told that you are playing a module and then the rest of the party deviates to something that isn’t even in the module and is completely random/pointless
What do you expect from the DM?: Someone who is fair and does not use DMNPC’s as a main part of the party, at least not over powered ones.
What do you expect from other players?: People that can get along and are ok with things being a bit darker rather than super light and cheerful all the time.
Are you willing to respect all players and DM?: Of course
Are you available to play Once a week for up to 5 months, possibly longer?: Yes
If you are unable to make it, or are sick, or otherwise disposed, will you tell the DM ahead of time?: Of course, it would be incredibly rude otherwise.
Are you ready for an epic adventure of intrigue, mystery, scandal, heroism, and glory?: Sounds very fun.
