Hi there! We have a small group (about 3 of us, at the moment. We will probably find one or two more players to join us) and we are looking for a DM to run a campaign.
We're looking for someone with a decent amount of experience; someone who is willing to work with us on things, maybe possibly share books on here(?), have fun, and potentially become a friend that we run more campaigns with in the future.
We are all 20 years old, so we'd prefer someone who is at least our age or older.
We would like a good mix of combat, storytelling and roleplaying. We are all relatively new to the game, but have some experience. We're also a little shy, but hope to be able to open up and have a good time! We are also open to many different aspects of storytelling- gore, light/some explicit behavior, extreme violence, foul language, etc. We're looking to play 5e and want it to be a module campaign- not homebrew.
The best day and time for us would be Tuesday evenings, but I'm sure we can work on other days too if we have to switch days.
While I might possibly not be the DM your group is looking for, if you are in need of one, I am available most all Tuesday evenings.
A brief history of my roleplaying experiences, I started playing D&D in the mid 90s (3.0) as a player with some brief attempts at DMing (I don't think I was very good), before playing 3.5 for a while when it was released before stopping for several years. Fast forward to the late 2010s, where I once again got into the hobby as a player. I've been in several one shots (both 5e and Call of Cthulhu), as well as a player in a Curse of Strahd Campaign (which was finished last year). I am currently DMing the Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign for my friends as everyone's schedule permits--it is enjoyable to be behind the DM screen once again.
The resources I prefer to use for online games are discord for voice chat, dndbeyond for character sheets, and Foundry as the virtual tabletop application. Is there a specific campaign you/your adventuring party is looking for? I can run any of the official modules (the recent sale found its way to my inbox and resulted in my purchasing all the content), although I would need a week or so to prep myself (and foundry) for it.
How long do you want to play per session, 3 hours, 4 hours, etc.?
Do you want to play a released adventure like Curse of Strahd, Storm King's Thunder, etc.? Or are you open to a homebrew/custom world?
Some basic info about me: I've been playing D&D since I was about 10, I'm over 40 now. I've been DM'ing almost since I started playing. I was planning on starting a new campaign in April using Foundry VTT, DnDBeyond, and Discord. This would be a homebrew world campaign. If you're interested and or have any questions about it or me, let me know.
Hi there!! My friends in my little group would like to talk a bit and see how things go! Add me at WitchQueenSav#5834 on Discord, and I'll set us up a little group to chat about things! :)
