Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online using DNDbeyond, discord and roll 20 Experience: All welcome but only over 18's please - not expecting any adult content but I already run a separate campaign with my teenage son and his friends so wanting a different vibe Location: UK - happy to accept GMT+1/2 players so most of Europe is OK too - apologies to our US based friends Schedule: Thursday's starting at 7:30 pm GMT running for 3-4 hours as a weekly game - session zero 24th March with first real session 31st March Roles sought: 4-5 players Game style: A good mixture of RP, combat and dungeon crawling as well as puzzle solving in a light hearted atmosphere but still focused on the game
The game is open to everyone as a safe open space to play regardless of gender, race, sexuality, creed etc - no harassment of any kind will be tolerated
Set in Faerun this home brew campaign adventure is for characters starting at level 1 and will progress up to 10 initially but I have ideas on how to continue past this
It is the year 1495 DR (Dale-Reckoning), or 137 PR (Present Reckoning) and the past few years have largely been peaceful and prosperous. However, this year’s winter has been especially harsh. It is now the 20th day of Flamerule (Summertide) and yet the ground is still frozen hard and covered in snow, despite spring having been and gone. The sky is dark all day with the Sun rarely seen and then even weakly, barely providing any light or warmth below. Even this far north of Faerûn talk has been heard of farmers worries of poor crop yields this year from the traditionally warmer south and the prospect of famine ahead, as no-one can recall a winter so harsh and long-felt. In Sword Coast and the Savage Frontier regions, people are looking to the leaders of the Lord’s Alliance for re-assurance and support for the year ahead.
Will go over full house rules etc in session zero but key points are 1) No meta gaming - play what your character knows only 2) Everyone gets a chance to shine 3) No major PvP 4) Main source book materials are OK and home brew considered 5) Point buy character creation 6) Mixture of XP and milestone leveling 7) Rule of the cool over RaW and quick rule decisions
If this sounds like a game that interests you then please let me know what character ideas you have (I will share more campaign background info to help with backgrounds etc) I want people to play characters they want rather than filling a perceived gap in the party make up so I'll make sure the party is balanced to the campaign challenges If people have any specific phobia's then let me know and I'll see if I can amend the monsters to remove them - some I can't but I will let you know if they are thematically critical (e.g. spiders etc)
My plan (subject to responses) is to select players for the game by end of Sunday so people get a chance to read and reply rather than it being fasted finger first
Please feel free to PM me here or on Discord (JayTheLesser#8376) for any more details
Hello I've been plying DnD for about 20 year's on & off. played 2nd, 3rd, & pathfinder, I've never played 5th and looking for a fun free group, I like the story & RP. I got a rouge think he's rdy looking forward to playing and having fun.
The campaign sounds really interesting and I'd love to join! I've been playing D&D 5e for about 3 years now and looking to find a new group. I'm 21, free on Thursday evenings and located in the EU so I should meet all the requirements.
As for character I'd love to play a fighter to try something different from my usual spellcaster. And let's be real every party needs someone who can just bonk real hard. Planning on picking up Echo Knight as subclass later on and roleplay the echo as being someone that isn't him (can't reveal who/what yet, spoiler) if that's allowed.
Would you be using the base point buy system or a modified one?
Hey, I am new to D&D with basically 0 experience so far but want to try! I am 36yo from Bulgaria and free on the Thursday evenings so that hopefuly covers the basics.
I would love to play either warlock or druid. Got some basic ideas for them but will flesh them out more in case you want to include me.

I have some experience and I am thinking of some sort of cleric build if that fits in - I'll PM you some more details if ok
