Looking for a smaller server

Ive tried being on discord servers for a large world and it just wasn't for me, so im looking for a small group. Im perfectly fine with online play since i live in a small town that no one lives in lol. I am from Texas so ill be on CST. Im not the most experienced player but i know my way around the rules a little bit. 

What would you consider a small server? 
Less than 20? 50? 100? 1000? 

Less than 20. I just like to be aboe to get to know my fellow players and i feel with more people that gets hard
