EDIT: This thread is closed! I have all the players I need, thank you!
I'm a 19-year-old girl looking to put together a young adult DND 5e group to play sunday nights. I live on the east coast for time zone reference. I am willing to DM or play a character, though I haven't DM'd before, but I have a pretty good idea of how DMing works and a solid grasp of the rules from my experiences as a player. I'm looking for a laid-back and fast-paced group that doesn't mind a little rule-fudging, as I'm not much of a stickler for rules, and I would like to keep the group small so that there's not a ton of waiting in between turns. Here are a few of the things I'm looking for in other players:
- young adult (18-21 range)
- even number of girls and boys. I don't want to end up in an all-male group
- experience with Discord and comfortable voice chatting (video not necessary, though I am not opposed to it if that's what the group wants)
- players who are looking for a quick-paced and light-hearted game
If you're interested, just let me know a little bit about you (age, time zone, player or DM, gender, etc) and I'll get back to you. Thanks!
No worries, I don't mind walking you through the basics if you're willing to learn! :) I will IM you the link to the discord server so you can join the introduction page.
These games would most likely be happening around 7 or 8pm EST, which would be around 4 or 5pm PST if I'm doing the math right. If you're okay with that, I can send you the link to the discord server.
I am an 18 year old dude, with about 2 years of DnD experience. I have never played over Discord or any online source (such as Roll20), but comfortable chatting over Discord due to online games such as WoW and understands the game after being stuck as the forever DM for my group of friends. I have never been a player before and would love to experience the game from another perspective. Not particularly picky on what class I go as, but generally prefer character in the melee and being a more good or neutral aligned character.
I am EST and would be interested as to when you guys would be playing on Sunday and if it will be a premade adventure or homebrew (fine with either, but homebrew is a lot of work for whomever is DM).
I'm a 29 year old male who lives on the East Coast. I've been playing and DM'ing D&D on-and-off for a handful of years. I prefer a story-driven, roleplay heavy game to a pure dungeon crawl and generally match my level of roleplaying to the group (or go a bit beyond). That isn't to say that I'm overly serious, just that I enjoy some of the acting elements of D&D. I'd be happy to chat more with you and the group.
What system were you planning on using to facilitate die rolls and the like?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
