32 year old nerd looking for story and growth, GMT-4

Game style: I'm looking for a more roleplay/story driven game with character growth woven into the story.

I have about 4-5 one shorts under my belt and a rather dull boss hunt style game and I'm looking for a game that I can really get to k ow the characters I created and see how they turn out as things go on. 

I have an unhealthy addiction to homebrew, most if not all of my pcs have some form of homebrew to them, ranging from as simple as a custom pet to a living but not actually alive blob of liquid metal that can take on the form and effects of weapons its user owns but prefers a dagger on the end of a chain, and it wants to locate the other pieces of itself, drawing the user along. I even made a whole new race for one of my characters..... I think I need help.
