We hit our Goal in the first week! We still have the rest of the month to go! Thank you everyone that has helped thus far and new games are posted all the time make sure to check out the link on the first post!
MVG is a great origination with a growing member base and a good community of vets and their friends. Their focus on healing through games is just one small part of the help and support they give. They really care about people and I admire what they have done!
I am having a ton of fun in the different campaigns I have been apart of. I was in the Monday Morning Campaign, had to change to a different one. Which was not a problem.
As a retired Navy Captain that spent 30 years driving submarines, I can't tell you how important efforts like this are. The stresses of deployments and combat are devastating to service members and their families. Gaming via TTG RPGs is a great way to help so many veterans who have been "left behind" or feel disconnected from society and their local/virtual community. Veterans sacrificed a lot to secure the freedom to play D&D and other RPGs. Help support them be welcoming them to your table, there are several who will never roll dice again, and we honor them this Memorial Day weekend.
