Dead or Destitute in the Prismat.. Homebrew Friday Nights EST.

Hello there. I'm a DM with quite a few games under my belt hoping to get a new one going. I've got a good group here of 5 players (4 of which being decent role-players and another being so deadpan that he adds a great bit of humor along to spice it up) but I was looking for another player for this adventure. The time frame is more open right now but we typically play between 7:00-11:00Pm. This will be a more intense game with horror themes and violence (There will be chances to talk to NPCs but this will be a harsh world that is less than forgiving.)

This will be a homebrew game with a homebrew setting and some extra rules but I'm open to a lot of creative input.  I intend to have it set in an old western style time frame with firearms somewhat prevalent but I intend to have melee builds remain effective as well. 

Here is a Primer: 

          A wealth of gold beyond measure is yours for the taking, that is if you can live long enough to find it. The tribes of Mondurosi were among the first to resist Kor the Conqueror as his coalition of Azoric refugees and native tribes swept across the continent. Now, over a thousand years later the people of Mondurosi as well as their frontier home might bend the knee to the imperial throne, but they are far from untamed. There are places in those feral lands that even those that still follow the old ways dare not enter. One of those places is hidden within the Mystic Mountains, far to the north of the world. To the eagle’s eye, the Prismat Valley is little more than a river surrounded by thick primordial forests and old stony mountains. A closer look reveals, the glints of something precious hiding within the banks and shoals of the St. Angelik River. Nuggets of gold were discovered by the first land surveyors to survive the round trip. As soon as word of gold for the taking got back to the wider world, the Prismat, as it became more simply known was flooded by those looking to stake their claim.

          With them, they brought their death, their misery, and woke something that should have been left sleeping. Now it seems like there is danger around every corner and a darkness that swells within the valley’s mists. For whatever reason you’ve decided to make the treacherous journey towards the Prismat know this, it does not want you here and will do everything in its power to make you just another body floating down the river.

This sounds like a dope setting for my blood hunter who is a monster hunter for hire. She's essentially a Witcher.
