I am looking for a 5E DM/Group to start playing long term weekly games. I would prefer face to face interactions, however I am willing to give online a try.
While I haven’t played in a few years, as my last game was in 2013 and that was Pathfinder. I was introduced to D&D back when the 2 version of the Basic Set was released. Now without having this sound like a personal ad. For me to join a group, I would prefer the group to be around my age.
No, not an ageist, but comfortability and cohesion are factors. I enjoy RPGs for the story, interaction, and casting fireballs at NPCs who think expositions need to be a four-hour monologue. If I am playing with people who are half my age or younger, it takes away from trying to build the needed cohesion to make a group enjoyable to hang out with and be able to kill a few liches along the way.
Back in the day, we would begin a D&D session at a friend’s house that eventually turned in to a D&D session at a Denny’s at three in the morning. However, unless there are several iced coffees with turbo shots and lots of sugar, I don’t think I could handle that anymore.
I built a 2 Level Female Elf Criminal Sorcery/Draconic via D&D Beyond, and I want to give her a whirl. I built her to be a chaotic good character, who’s a smart ass. Think Lara Croft’ish. She has money, the finest weapons she could buy, does the right thing her own way, and occasionally may get herself into trouble because of something shinny. As noted, she isn’t a rogue, but like the Thieves Guild in Elder Scrolls, she thinks anyone can be.
Additionally, I want to put D&D Beyond to the test. So, I figured the best way to do it, is to make a character that would be fun to play.
Again, I live in the Hudson Valley area of New York. Local would be great, but like I said I am willing to give online a try.
Take care,
😊
