Hired hands sought for long term service. Ten gold pieces will be paid upfront to all interested parties willing to assist in a series of laborious tasks. Must provide your own equipment and a willingness to get your hands dirty if needed. Meet at the basement of the abandoned manor three blocks from the city harbor.
Game:
D&D 5E using the Milestone option for leveling. Attribute points can be assigned either using the Standard Array or by rolling.
Applications will remain open until this thread is closed.
Group type:
Online. Roll 20 for maps, Beyond Roll 20 browser addon dice for rolling, Discord for audio, DnD Beyond for character sheets.
Experience:
I have run several lower level campaigns and have a pretty decent understanding of 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. Though I am still learning and will definitely make some mistakes along the way. I'm also an amateur writer so I put a lot of effort into story plots, immersion, and world building.
Players of any experience level are welcome. I've played with folks far more experienced than myself and I have also taught a few how to play. Though I do ask that all players be 18+ as I'm not comfortable DMing for minors.
Location/Timezone:
Online Midnight EST
Schedule:
Weekly. Tuesdays at Midnight EST. (9PM PST/4AM GMT)
Sessions would probably run 3-4 hours, give or take, with short breaks for snacks and bathroom use.
Roles sought:
Howdy, I'm Chester (he/him) a 33 year old with a love of TTRPGS, working out, and writing. As a Dungeon Master I seek 4-5 players ages 18+ who enjoy a mixture of role play and combat. While you don't need an extensive background from your character I will do my best to incorporate your character's story and abilities into the campaign. The amount of effort you put into making a character will reflect within the campaign.
Game style:
I enjoy a mixture of immersive role play and exciting combat that work together with player decisions to build a fun collaborative story. Incorporating player backstories into the campaign is also a lot of fun and I look forward to finding a way to weave your character into the world.
Campaign Setting:
This will be a homebrewed campaign that I've been working on for a few years now. You will start at level one and be permitted to use any official Wizards of the Coast character options. (I own all the DnD Beyond character source books and can share them.) Below is a brief blurb of the main setting.
The year is 677 Post Collapse (P.C.) and humanity has made great strides over the centuries to rebuild after the Second Planar War ravaged the world of Oremar. In the current Age of Expansion, Emperor Tyndall the 4th leads his predominantly Human Empire towards their goal of uniting the continent of Khymal under a single banner. However the war against the Orcs across the southern sea has been a great drain upon the Empire's resources and manpower leading some to wonder if the Empire has made themselves vulnerable.
To the west the Halfling peoples of the Highland region have managed to maintain their continued sovereignty from the Empire and its aggressive Imperialism. Though disturbing new hardships are now emerging as they sweep across the grassy hillsides of the western lands. With these new dangers in mind the Highlanders find themselves struggling to decide what is more important, their sovereignty or their safety? But they are not the only ones faced with misfortune.
Beyond the snow covered mountains to the north the Everfrost Kingdom is left reeling from a recent tragedy. The bodies of the Dwarven King and Queen have finally been recovered after their ship was declared lost at sea but a few weeks prior. Now Princess Trueheart is said to take the throne, much to the distress of her brother's supporters. For many Dwarves believe that the Red Prince still lives, causing tension to rise throughout the land and leading some to whisper of a coming civil war.
If the above information sounds fun to you please fill out the form below. Thank you for your time, Chester.

This campaign sounds really cool, but I sadly have classes on wednesdays at 9AM est, if there was another time possibly I would definitely like to join.
Name: You can call me Percy, or my username Mashed Potatoes.
Age: Not going to say exactly, but above 18.
Pronouns: He/they
Time zone: Mst, and I am absolutely down for a late game on Tuesday/Wednesday
Favorite aspect of dnd: By far, I would have to say the role-playing aspect of it. That is truly what makes dnd fun to me, and so many others.
Character: I have so many ideas for character, but I do not know who/what you already have in the party. However, I would love to play a bard. The concept is a changeling from some sort of creepy carnival, that was pretty twisted. He managed to escape, and has been on the run ever since. Picking up gold, and other things one the way. That's just a simple outline though. I'd be happy to play anything though, just let me know what the party has.
If I seem like a good fit, hit me up at "MashedPotatoes#8275". Hope to talk to ya later!
Are you available to play Tuesdays at Midnight EST (9PM PST/4AM GMT)? sure m=am, I'm normally up late as is.
What do you enjoy most about DnD? (Roleplay, combat, exploring, getting loot, etc) Roleplaying out and building on a new characters life.
Character name: Allistar "Blackfoot" Hemsey
Character class: Bard, thinking of the college of swords.
Character background: Allistar's father passed, leaving his children with a vast wealth. one that Allistar gambled and drank away like a party boy, needing to take from loans sharks and work dirty jobs. needless to say his risky personality and willingness to thrown everything away on a whim will be his downfall. his only redeeming quality is his ability with a sword and his ability to keep his party members alive and usable.
Time zone: GMT (central standard) and yes I'm ok with Tuesday night.
Favorite aspect of DnD: probably the diversity being able to play so many different way is just soo fun to me.
Character: been wanting to play a paladin for a while now so probably a paladin not sure about the race just yet but I've got a few thoughts. I'd want the backstory sort of a wanderer of some kind something like that.
If you'd let me join you can find me on discord at "LawHanime#5441"
Hello, I appreciate the amount of details you provided, I'm sure you'd be a fantastic DM. If you're still looking:
Name: E
Age: 33
Pronouns: He/him
Timezone/Country of Origin: PST
Are you available to play Tuesdays at Midnight EST (9PM PST/4AM GMT)?
Yes, I work EST so might have to call it a night by midnight PST, if that works with everyone
What do you enjoy most about DnD? (Roleplay, combat, exploring, getting loot, etc)
Character optimization (with proper back story / model) and teamwork (whether it's combat, puzzle-solving, or roleplay). I'm a firm believer of following the rules as intended or as house-ruled so by "optimization" I don't mean looking for exploits.
Character name: TBD based on class/role chosen
Character class: likely some mutliclass (mainly spellcaster), to fill whatever role the party needs - although I prefer control/support, tank/DD is fine too.
Character background: as per above, the role will be based on what the party is missing, and the background/personality will be adapted accordingly to the path I plan for the character since classes chosen will determine ability scores, and ability scores are closely tied to personality which is in turn tied to background and upbringing.
Please let me know if there is still room and you think I'm a good fit. Thanks!
Are you available to play Tuesdays at Midnight EST (9PM PST/4AM GMT)? Yep!
What do you enjoy most about DnD? (Roleplay, combat, exploring, getting loot, etc) I love roleplay and exploring and basically being able to go on an adventure. It's so much fun to really get to know everyone else in the group, develop characters, create stories... as a fellow writer the whole thing is extremely interesting and exciting to me tbh haha. I think I'm pretty mellow.
Character name: Ven
Character class: Human rogue of one flavor or another--but as others have said, completely open to change based on what everyone else settles on. The only classes I'd be hesitant to play are spellcasters because there would be a learning curve for me and I doubt anyone wants that.
Character background: A former street urchin with a temper and a hidden heart of gold, Ven longs for security (financial or otherwise). Can't exactly be called a Robin Hood, but there are lines that shouldn't be crossed. There is, after all, even a law of the streets.
I know several people have already replied so I may be too late etc, but even if you say no I wanted to let you know that this sounds super neat!
Are you available to play Tuesdays at Midnight EST (9PM PST/4AM GMT)?: Yes, I’m okay with that
What do you enjoy most about DnD?: Role-play and character development.
Character name:Pavel
Character class:Human Fighter
Character background: Young man from small tribe, who wants to see the world and goes to explore it’s different tribes, countries cultures, and bring that knowledge back to his people. Pavel is uneducated and socially awkward; Pretty much he doesn’t understand a lot of social interactions and things considered normal for most people, but he is open minded and willing to learn new things.
Are you available to play Tuesdays at Midnight EST (9PM PST/4AM GMT)?
That time works perfectly
What do you enjoy most about DnD? (Roleplay, combat, exploring, getting loot, etc)
I enjoy roleplay and combat the most
Character name:
Elarin
Character class:
Eladrin Fighter into battle master and maybe a multi class into cleric as well
Character background: Elarin was a peasant who tried to stage an uprising which ended up failing and in the process ended up having his eyes burnt causing him to become blind.
Man an I late to this, I do sincerely hope to get in because this sounds like a lot of fun
Are you available to play Tuesdays at Midnight EST (9PM PST/4AM GMT)? YES
What do you enjoy most about DnD? (Roleplay, combat, exploring, getting loot, etc) I enjoy all aspects of DnD. I really like to get invested in roleplay and character development but I love general exploration and combat scenarios as well. I just like feeling immersed in a world where decisions have consequences and the player is really forced to think about what course of action they would want to take. I love it all!
Character name: TBD
Character class: Druid, Subclass Circle of Dreams
Character background: A young Harengon who was found and raised by a tribe of druids. This tribe lives within a fey-touched grove and was where he spent the majority of his younger life practicing druidic techniques and magics. As a selection process to find suitable leaders for the tribe. They send out their youngest and most promising prospects out to the world to help anyone and anything in need of the traditions that are taught to them. The journey is a 3 year endeavor and upon successful return they must compete in a trial testing their acquired knowledge and skills. Fast forward 3 years and upon returning to his tribe the grove where he spent his childhood was nowhere to be seen. The land was reshaped with no sign of his people or anything that he once knew. Having no idea of what had happened he set out once more to seek out other tribes in hopes of finding answers.
Alright, I think I have a rough idea of who I'd like to add to the campaign. I'm gonna go ahead and lock the thread and I'll send out Private Messages to the folks I'd like to join later today. Thank you all for your interest.
Edit: Private messages have been sent out to inform those that have been selected for this campaign. Thank you all for your interest, I'm sorry I didn't have room for everyone.
