One relatively experienced (6mo weekly, lvl10) and one brand new player looking for a game to join or start in the West Bloomfield area! Hoping to find a story focused campaign (Adventurers league monster of the week is fine, but we’d like to try a consistent plot). Most experienced with 5e, but I have books for 4 as well. We’re serious about playing and staying focused, but we want to keep the game fun! If anybody knows of anything let me know!
I don't know of any games currently running, particularly in that area, but I'd be more than happy to join you if you're starting one up. We'd at the very least need: another player, a DM, a place to meet.
We can check theloadeddie.com. It's based out of Ferndale/The Rust Belt but they have a location finder for satellite locations where you can play tabletops and board games free.
I'm looking to start a group to meet in Redford. Ideally, I'd like to play on Thursday or Friday evenings, either weekly or every other week. I already DM another group, so I'm looking for someone else to DM, and about 4-5 players, but we can host. Please message me if you're interested.
Looking for DM & group kinda new to dungeons and dragons but I have watched many videos on it. Located in Shelby township will drive 30 or more min away if you have a session can only meet up on weekends either Saturday afternoon or Sundays anytime
I'm in the Warren area and just had a recent change to my work schedule. I can be available Fridays or Saturdays nights and Sundays without being too late (3:00am wake up for work Monday).
Curiosity for those in the Macomb County area: Are there any hobby shops that host or have space/willingness for D&D campaigns? Open table nights are a great way to meet people in the area and have some pickup fun.

Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
I'm in the Macomb area and I am very interested in joining a face-to-face group. Mike's Comic in New Baltimore has space, I believe, plus there are libraries that are cool with hosting, depending on the day. Anyone in Macomb available for Tuesday nights?
Gamer’s Gauntlet in Sterling Heights runs 5th edition D&D on Wednesday nights and The Loaded Die has a listing of their days and times for their satellite locations on their Facebook page.
Brand new player(like havent played a minute of D&D) about to be starting a online game but also wouldnt mind the idea of something face to face. Im in Livonia(Litterally about 2 miles from RIW)
Im kinda interested in a bit more of dungeon crawling with a little less focus on roleplay. Now dont get me wrong i want some RP, but i wanna pull out my great sword and chop up some goblins too!!! Also im not one to "Act" my part, just not my cup of tea, my character will obviously play to their background but i myself wont act.
30 year old guy who works monday-friday until 4:30 so available usually by 6pm at the latest. If anyone has some new campaigns going or maybe even just some 1 off's that would be new player friendly. Feel free to reach out with a message if you have any questions.
Hey Metro Detroiters! This was one of the first threads I ever read on DDB years ago and I've been thinking a lot about it lately. Not sure if anyone's already following, but there's a new web app that opened early access for tabletop matchmaking: Demiplane (www.demiplane.com)
The site is for DMs to post their games and players to search for games based on interest criteria. For people already set up with full players, there's also Adventure Parties where you can also advertise as a whole group (or so DMs can find a group with cohesion already). I've even tried reaching out to local stores and hosting sites since they have established games on days and times.
Since this is largely (for now) a local matchmaking system, it can be a great way to meet up and even find more players in the area. There's also a Discord community of around 800 members from across the country and overseas. The website above has a link to the Discord if you wanted to ask questions or chat with other players/DMs.

Long shot I know but I recently moved to Detroit and have been trying to se up a DnD game (unsuccessfully) since I got here. If anyone is interested I would love to run a game.
Looking for a game to join. I'm in Royal Oak area and willing to drive a bit. (Also posted in the main LFG tab.)
Lots of experience up until 3.5 edition when I fell away to focus more on parenting. I've recently started running a game for a group of rookie 6th & 7th graders and am now itching to play the game with a group of adults once more.
I love it all, RP, big combats, drama, puzzles, exploring back-stories, TPK-scale enemies. I goofed around with theatre stuff in college and really get into 'playing the role'. I paint miniatures, mainly for other games but that all started with my love of D&D. I prefer a game with a bigger ongoing story rather than unlinked monster-murder-montage episodes but I'm willing to roll with just about anything right now so I can get back in the game. I have a great PC idea in mind that I think would add a lot of fun to the right table.
Weekly commitment would be complicated but might be possible? I'm willing to try and make it work while we see if I'm a good fit at your table.
Hi Viking, I am in West Bloomfield and looking to start a game. I have one player interested already. I would be looking to run on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evenings, I am a parent too and those are the times that won't conflict too much with parenting stuff. It seems easier to get more players once a game is started so I could start with just two players, planning on picking up more as we go along. I've found it's harder to get an in person game going than last time I tried, though admittedly that's a decade ago. I've spent the last several years doing prep for a bunch of different game ideas while not being able to run a game so I probably have a story idea you'd be interested in if you're willing to try to start a group and not exclusively focused on an existing game.

I'm in West Bloomfield and play 5e. I'd be interested if you get a game going. I'm also up for board games.
I may have a spot in a 5e game on Friday or Monday. We play in Bloomfield at Opdyke and Square Lake. Let me know if you are interested.

Looking for a 5E DM for a small group of four new gamers, we all live in Detroit and are shooting for Sunday's.

Not that long of a shot, if you get any interest, I’d be down.
Always looking for players for in person in Bloomfield. Opening on Monday nights 7-11pm weekly. Dedicated gaming space.

I’m interested in finding a game. I’m in Farmington Hills.
How many players do you have already? Are you the DM?
EDIT: This conversation will probably be a lot easier to have messaging on discord. Add me if you like: harpindie#7875

Hello Eric!
Just wanted to confirm, you're looking for an in-person game, not Roll20/Discord?
