I'm running three games at the moment so I don't exactly need more - but I always want to meet other locals who are playing or running games and share good times. Plus I think it'd be easier for anyone looking to have a master thread to skim than to hope to find a bunch of disconnected posts.
Are you in Metro Detroit? Do you run or play? Looking for more? Looking for new friends? Say hello!
Started playing the red box way back in the day - just recently (last 2 years) got a group of friends to play 4E - sadly however we don't play nearly often enough due to schedules, families, etc
I've played online a few times via Roll 20 and it seems to work fairly well - so I'm happy to see more of a push towards online integration.
i run a game for new players in lincoln park we are all new and are always looking for new players or just more people to form a second group it is a very free form game i dont abide by the rules to closely if you are interested reply
I will be moving to the Northern part of Detroit in a month and a half. I am an experienced gamer and a DM. I am looking for a group to join. If there are people you know that want to play and need a DM, I am willing to run any of the Modules. Or I can run my sandbox campaign that was inspired by the one and true God "Matthew Mercer" (Tongue in Cheek) and only slightly less well known, Matthew Colville.

Im from the metro Detroit area and i'd love to play. I want to learn more so i can DM so if an experience DM wants an aprentice i'd love that or if there are groups looking for another player i'd love to play as well
Hey! So this post made it VERY easy to get going with what I'm looking for (Thank you!). Leaving out the unecessary details, I have a bit of a full work schedule and home life, so getting involved in a regular group may be tricky.
Edit: (trimmed the fat, looked into the forums a bit more) So after seeing the forums a bit, would anyone be interested in getting a digital adventure rolling? It could be through this forum or an iOS platform, but I'd love to get in touch with others in the area. I can do some minor DMing, but I'll admit I'm far from experienced.

I am looking for a few new players for a brand new 5E homebrew campaign. We play in Bloomfield near Square Lake and Opdyke with super easy access to I75. I have a dedicated gaming room in the basement with everything needed to have an awesome gaming experience. The day and the time are up in the air at the moment and will depend on the availability of all those interested.
New players are welcome as well as old grognards. All that is required is a good attitude and a willingness to work as a team to accomplish the goals of the campaign. Let me know if you are interested so we can chat about the details.
I'd love tp join in, but showing in person may be complicated for me. If there are digital/iOS options, I'm totally in!

Ok, this will be a bit self-serving of me, but here goes: We all play fantasy games where we swing a big sword, but how would you like to do it for REAL? Like, really-real? Not in a LARP sense, but a genuine martial sense?
I've always been fascinated by swords and about 9 years ago, I got involved with Historic European Martial Arts (HEMA). It covers many weapon styles throughout Europe from 1100-1900. I fell in love, but my issue is the nearest group is based in Livonia and has a monthly membership fee. I have a book and online library, about 2 years of experience teaching, and a few practice German Longswords ("2-handed swords", you may call them). If anyone in the Metro Detroit area would be interested in seeing what actual combative swordplay is like, let me know and I'll be happy to discuss and see what can be arranged.
Disclaimer: May turn you into a total snob when playing melee classes forever.

Hello there. I'm a brand new player in the Sterling Heights/Troy area and don't have any friends that play. As of yet, I haven't had any luck getting into an online game, either. I saw that some game stores offer Adventures League games, but I'm not sure how to get started with those. What's the best way for someone like me to get started? Any advice?
I found the Play By Post is a great section in the forums. If there are currently active games, message the thread owner to see if they can make an opening. Welcome fellow Macomber!

Nice game room! I'm not far away - SQ. Lake & Livernois!
I can't pick up another game, but we should deliberately cross paths at some point.
