Hi! My name is Halen, I've been a DM since 2019 and I'm looking to run some games of high fantasy kick-assery based on the rules and guidelines of 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons. With over 1,900 hours logged on Roll20 and a couple hundred more in person, I believe I've found my own pocket of style and gameplay. BUT!! there's always room for improvement and reason to learn. I like to think I have a good idea of what players tend to enjoy but this does range from group to group, so please, let's talk about it!
In my games it isn't DM VS Players, but rather a cooperative group storytelling/improv exercise where anything the mind can imagine, can happen, if the dice play nice that is. I tend to be enabling with what players can do regarding shenanigans but I rarely pull punches on dice rolls, positive or negative. If I sound like the kind of DM you are looking for, reach out to me and let's discuss things further. Ideally I want to run games for newer players & forever DMs, but all are welcome at my table.
I've got three games rearing and ready to go, Lost Mine of Phandelver (SUN), Waterdeep Dragon Heist (TUE), and Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden (MON). All games are looking for a party of 5-6 players, all priced at 15$ per session. The start time depends on the game in question. Again, if you or someone you know is interested, reach out to me
Just read your post. My Frostmaiden game just finished up tonight and of course the first ting I am doing is looking for my next game to join. I have a great group of players, we've bee playing together for about 3 years, but no one is able to DM so I am currently gameless. I was really intrigued by your description. I absolutely agree that D&D is at its best as free form RP and improv. D&D is at its best when its a group stroytelling experience. Mix in high stakes dice rolls in some bad ass combat. Sounds perfect to me. I'd love to get the chance to message a bit and hopefully I'd be a good fit for one of your sessions. I just finished Frostmaiden so I'd be interested in Lost Mine of Phandelver or Waterdeep Dragon Heist.

Have a great night. I hope to hear from you soon.
