New to D&D, just looking for a game to get started and have some fun

I used to play games like Heroes Quest when I was a kid, but am just now, at nearly 40, finally getting into D&D. Just looking to join a fun campaign with some nice folks who can help me get better acquainted with the game and don't mind having a noob like me as part of their adventuring party. I've gotten the Starter Set and have been looking over the Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign...but that's my level at this point. I'm on Eastern time if anyone is interested.
