New to play player looking for a fun group

I have been listening to dnd podcasts for years, and feel like I have a pretty basic understanding of the game. Have made some characters, and have played a few one shots, but have never been able to find a steady group. Would love to join one if anyone has any open spots available! I was playing starting Aug last year but the group had to quit due to rl. Would like to join a long--standing game, have a few characters built and one i'm really looking to try. Haven't played long so don't quite know all the rules.
