Game: D&D 5e Group type: Face-to-face Experience: New to DM'ing, experienced player and day dreamer Location/Timezone: Calgary, AB (Canada, but if you did not know that.. probably out of your travel zone) Schedule: TBD based on group consensus, prefer bi-weekly Roles sought: 3-5 players, any experience, LGBTQ2+ friendly, 18+ Game style: Taking the game seriously without taking yourself seriously. Mix of combat, roleplay, exploration based on group feedback Me: 46M, married, 2 kids (older), doggo
I'm looking to put together a group of future friends to play some D&D. I have been playing on and off since the 80's, though this would be my first time DM'ing. I'm happy to run an existing module, or go more open world sandbox in an existing setting (Forgotten Realms, Theros, Eberron, Wildemount, Ravenloft, soon-to-be SpellJammer). I'd like to make the game about your characters and what you want to get out of the game, so session zero will really set the tone of what direction we go in. I can host at my place as long as all players love doggos (my chocolate Lab will assume you are there for his entertainment, not adventuring in far off realms).
Modules I (currently) own (happy to get others based on interest):
Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos (lvl 1-12) - Harry Potter meets D&D via Magic the Gathering
The Wild Beyond the Witchlight (lvl 1-8) - It's fey, it's wild... it's feywild!
Waterdeep Dragon Heist (lvl 1-5) - A big city treasure hunt with assassins, beholders, secret societies, and more!
Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep (lvl 3-12) - Critical Role without Matt Mercer... or professional voice actors
Candlekeep Mysteries (lvl 1-16) - When book nerds go adventuring (episodic)
Tales from the Yawning Portal (lvl 1-15) - Your party meets in a tavern... (episodic)
Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel: (lvl 1-14): Around the multiverse in 13 adventures (episodic)
EDIT: It looks like I have enough players for the time being, thanks all!
Hi there! I live in Calgary and I’ve been wanting to get into dnd for a few years now! My fiancée is interested in learning too! I may have one other person besides the two of us, but I’d have to ask them!
