Hello! My group is looking for one player to join a weekly homebrew campaign. We use Tabletop Simulator to play, we start at 6:30 est on Fridays and usually play until 12-1 am on average. All PCs are level 10 and we don't use alignment.
If you're looking to join, here is what we ask of you:
1: A stable schedule with no foreseeable issues that could cause you to miss out on sessions regularly. This is a long running campaign that has played weekly for a year.
2: A rig decent enough to properly run Tabletop Simulator. It can be a very graphics heavy game.
3: A relatively in depth understanding of the basic rules and the ins and outs of the class you want to play. We're looking for experienced players. (If you have DMed formerly/seriously, there is a low chance you'll be accepted.)
And here is what to expect from us:
1: We run an unconscious system rather than 0HP killing you, and we run GRR (gritty realism resting) in which short rests are 8 hours and long rests are 3 days of rest or light travel.
2: Our campaign is heavy in roleplay and combat with an added settlement system.
3: We try to keep out of game joking clear from the table to keep immersion. In-character joking is fine.
4: We run a straightforward mostly PHB game with some Xanathar's and no Tasha's. Races outside of PHB are subject to DM approval.
Lore is fairly detailed, but here's a basic idea: it's a resistance story against a high elf rule that dominates the land and forces them into subjugation through the use of a magic brand. You'll play a resistance member joining the party to help topple the elven rulers. You'll need to create a character who has a reason for taking up arms against the powers that be, and you must be willing to create a level 10 character who is a member of a resistance group in another region of the continent whom we have just met, but otherwise the backstory is yours. The secret word is cashew. Our party currently consists of 3 PCs: a wood elf beast master ranger/rogue, a halfling wild magic sorcerer, and a half-elf champion fighter. We're looking for someone who can fit into the party and supply a role not already filled.
To test the waters, we'll be running a one-shot to see if you'll fit in with our group. We ask that you create a character similar to the one you plan on playing in the campaign to see if you mesh well. I can send you a document with the lore of the campaign to help you create your character.
If you're interested, please send me a PM with your Discord username and perhaps a bit about the character you plan on playing. If I get good vibes, I'll direct you to our Dungeon Master. Thank you for reading!
I am interested in your campaign! The concept sounds really interesting. I am experienced with dnd however I am a little rusty. Don’t have a full character idea yet but I’m thinking of maybe playing a barbarian.
