Game Style: Easy going, plenty of opportunity for role-playing and character development interspersed with combat encounters.
Characters: The current party are all level 5 and is made up of a Fighter, Cleric, Barbarian and Rogue, it would be preferable to not duplicate any of those existing classes.
Tools: We play over Discord with video and audio, so a decent mic and camera would be nice. Encounters are run in Roll20, and characters are generated in DnDBeyond (most source books are shared in the campaign.
General Information
We are a pretty friendly bunch and have been playing together for around six months now, but would like to expand the group a little to add some extra flavour to things. The setting is in the Forgotten Realms, so there is plenty of scope for exploration in what we are hoping will be a long-term campaign.
Our new players will have a high-tolerance for dad-jokes and dubious pop-culture references, and will not take themselves too seriously. They should also be comfortable with coarse language and be familiar with the long-standing British pastime of insulting one-another on a regular basis.
If this sounds like it might be your kind of game, drop me a line on here and we can take things from there, in your message please include the following:
Your Name
Location
Age
A brief description of your experience of D&D and what you would be looking to get out of the game.
Reading your post above, this seems very interesting. I have added some information below that you asked for, and I'll add some more information that I think would be useful
Name: My real name is Jack, but I'd prefer to go under 'ReV', if at all possible Location: East side of England, won't go into detail Age: 25 Years of age, 26 in September Experience: I've been playing D&D for about 2 years. I've played all classes at least once. What To Get Out Of It: I'm looking for a fun D&D experience, with storytelling and combat and roleplay opportunities
Favourite Thing about D&D: Storytelling. Whether it's my own backstory, another character story, a random NPC or simply the story arc, I love story overall. Favourite Class: I have to say Bard for Creativity. I can use it in several ways to be creative with it. Druids can also have a really good story, and Sorcerers can also be fun to take a darker turn on their story.
I also have a lot of images saved for characters, so if this interests you, my discord is 'Rev - Trash Gamer#6898', so I would love to talk with you about getting involved! Have a good day, and may the dice be in your favour!
Hello, my Name is Tina, i am 24 years old and from Germany. I am fluent in English ( i lived in England for 3 years). Unfortunately i don‘t have any DnD experience yet but i did my fair bit of research and im a quick learner :)
I am looking for a fun dnd experience with an immersive Story
I'm Phill, in my late thirties from Yorkshire. I've been playing D&D properly for 5-6 years now, but have some knowledge garnered from playing video games in my youth, particularly Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment. My regular group collapsed at the end of last year, and I've recently started to look for a new one. I'm looking for a group that doesn't take itself or the game too seriously, with a good balance between character based roleplaying and interesting combat encounters. I have done a bit of DMing in the past, but I'm just looking to be a player for now.
I'm Josh, based in Bristol UK, 29. I've played DND 5e for a few years now but had a few years off since Covid and my regular group fizzled out. My last group was a homebrew world but standard rules. I'm a semi casual player, with humor and role playing central, but love a good dnd fight of course! My last character was a Halfling Wild Magic Sorcerer - he was a great laugh and the Wild Magic brought randomness and many a crazy moment. 7PM works for me generally, I have two kids that go to bed at that time but my partner can take over if they're being a nightmare!
Happy to join your discord, or PM me and we can chat through any other questions. Hope to hear from you soon!
my name is Malina and I'm 20 years old. I'm based in Germany. I haven't played that much D&D yet, only two One-Shots and a Pathfinder One-Shot. Originally I was or was supposed to be part of a campaigne, that sadly coudn't start due to work issues/stress of some members of the group. I would very much like to join a new game, since I really enjoyed those One-Shots and am quite interested in D&D. What I'm looking to get out of the game is a good time, roleplaying and hearing/creating several stories.
I would very much like to join you, if you'll have me. Looking forward to hearing back from you. :)
I would love to get in touch with you or the people that replied to this thread. I haven't played D&D yet but I'm currently looking for a group to start and learn. I also have experience speaking english since I spent a year abroad on an alpaca farm in Nottinghamshire and miss it loads!
Against the german stereotype, I do have a sense of humour and no problem with dad jokes whatsoever :)
My name is Jose, location is Madrid , Spain. My age is 48, and played dnd when I was a child. I have revisited it recently and am interested in playing with others again.
I'm South Coast UK, looking for a first time play. I've created a character but that's it so far.... If you're up for welcoming a newbie I'd be interested in joining. Monday evenings could work for me, but totally get it if you don't want a newbie slowing you all down
Hello there, Not too sure if you are still looking for someone but I would love to throw my hat in the ring.
My name is Shabab but most of my online friends call me Dark (im fine with either). I am 21 years old and I live in the UK.
Most of my experience for DnD has been in Pathfinder (a 3.5e variant) but I have both played a few 5e campaigns and DM'd a few one-shots in the system. I mainly use Roll20 for all of these so I am familiar with how it works. I have a current IRL Pathfinder game which we play every 1-2 month or so but I would definitely like to find a group which I can play consistently with.
My Discord is Darkxalibur#2309 if you want to send me a message or talk.
My name's Josh, I'm 26 and live in NL, so one hour ahead of UK time.
I played D&D a few years ago in college and recently picked it up again. I kinda went nuts on character creation so I've got plenty of options for my character for the campaign. I can use my Ranger or my Wizard since all my other free characters are Barbarian, Rogue and Cleric. I've mainly been looking for weekend games due to my current work schedule but since this will be at 8pm and running at three hours, that will be perfectly manageable for me since I can get straight to sleep when we finish (I get up at 4am everyday for my morning shifts). I also hope I won't need to jump my characters all the way to level 5 since I love playing D&D mainly for the roleplay, which includes a very natural levelling progression for the characters and not skipping ahead a bunch of levels and missing important character and class decisions. Though going up by one or two levels to make things even will be okay with me (probably for the wizard more than the ranger). I hope that I might fit well for your campaign! :D
Thanks for all the responses here and via PM. We have plenty of replies to get though so I'm closing this thread now and will get back to everyone as soon as I can - hopefully by early next week.
Thanks again everyone!
