Hey all, I wanted to make a proposal on title tags for this forum as it would really help people in finding games/players. Sometimes, standardization is a good thing. Here is my proposal of what a title should, more or less look like, going forward:
[Edition tag - required] [Time tag - required] [Recurrence tag - optional] [Weekday tag - optional] [Game type tag - optional] [Platform tag - optional] [City tag - optional] Title goes here.
What are the tags?
Edition Tag: [5e] [4e] [3.5e] - What edition of D&D you're looking to play.
Time Tag: [EST] [GMT] [PST] - The time zone in which you're looking to play, preferably. - Multiple timezone preferences should be separated by " / " (space slash space) for readability. (ie. [EST / CST])
Recurrence tag: [Weekly] [Bi-weekly] - How often are you looking to play the game. - Sidenote: "bi-weekly" literally means, as defined by the dictionary, both every two weeks and twice a week. English is silly. In this context, "bi-weekly" will mean every two weeks.
Weekday Tag: [Weekends] [Weekdays] [Mon] [Thurs] - If you're looking for a specific day(s) during the week to play. - Multiple day preferences should be separated by " / " (space slash space) for readability. (ie. [Weekends / Tues / Thurs])
Game Type Tag: [OneShot] [Campaign] [Homebrew] [Seasonal] [Module] - What sort of game you're looking for, whether it's a published module, a home-brew game or a long term campaign. - Multiple platform preferences should be separated by " / " (space slash space) for readability. (ie. [Campaign / Homebrew])
Platform Tag: [DDB] [Discord] [Roll20] [FG] [Offline] - What platform's you're looking to play the game on - Multiple platform preferences should be separated by " / " (space slash space) for readability. (ie. [Discord / DDB])
City Tag: [New York] [Toronto] [Hong Kong] [Prague] - Where you're from or, the city you're looking to play offline in. - Only include city if looking to play offline
NOTE: There are spaces between each tag. For readability.
So a thread title from now on would look like: [5e] [EST] [Discord / Roll20] [Weekly] [Weekends] [Module] New players looking to try Lost Mines of Phandelver

Edits: DDB formatting is hard, hur-dur.
I think this is great! I think if the pool of potential players were to get larger it would certainly help to narrow applicants down a little.
