Group type: Online Experience: We'll take anyone wanting to play! I've been running Dungeons and Dragons games for several years online, and am more than willing to help teach anyone willing to learn! Location/Timezone: We'll be starting online on Sundays 6pm CST, and play via Discord and Roll20. Schedule: I don't think we'll be able to change the time and date, but we could in theory do a Friday night game. Roles sought: Looking for 2 players to begin our session 0, so we can talk about what themes, lines, rules (such as the million Tasha variant rules) and overall campaign goal we're wanting to pursue. Game style: My games normally take place in a homebrew world I've been running for a while - but I'm not afraid to distance myself from it. I do tend to stray away from modules, as I don't like the idea that players can 'read up' on the adventure prior to experiencing it. My method to running games is to make sure that everyone is laughing - and that mechanics should bind into the narrative of the world that we share. I will be making a world/regional/tons of battle maps for the campaign, as well as possess several gigabytes of tokens for our battlemaps for immersion. I possess a PRO account on roll20, and I am proficient with the platform - having taught over two dozen people how to use it for both personal and semi-professional projects they do.
In terms of meta-rules, I have three hard lines that will be heavily enforced during the games, however. 1: No depictions of sexual assault. 2: No racism, fantastical or otherwise. 3: No real world politics in my fantasy world.
These hard lines should be fairly obvious as to their reasoning, and agreed upon by any well-mannered person.
It will only be $15 a session, paid via Paypal or Zelle. Session 0 will of course be free - as it is to talk about the game we are wanting to. I will not charge anyone until we've started playing.
Currently, we're wanting to start towards 9/18/22.
