Welcome to the exciting universe of Spelljammer!
We currently have an introductory adventure, 'Spelljammer Academy" in progress with plans to launch directly into the plot of the newest game book:
You and your fellow adventurers are recruits of the Spelljammer Academy, a mysterious organization headed by the adventurous Mirt the Merciless! Something is going on in Wildspace, and Toril is suddenly being dragged into a universal stage. Using his authority and contacts, Mirt the Merciless has prepared as best a defense as he can muster: training Toril's finest explorers to traverse the treacherous expanse of Wildspace, and outfitting them with expertly crafted ships.
Experience the world of 5th Edition like never before:
Serve on your own Spelljamming ship: as a Crewperson you can man turrets, board enemy ships, or use magic to defend your teammates! Maybe you're better suited as the Captain, offering words of encouragement or harsh reprimand if the team needs it. Then there is the Spelljammer themselves, who pilots the ship using their direct connection to magic. Alternate, perfect, but never feel you aren't an important part of the team!
Explore new dynamics like atmospheres and gravity as you traverse the very Multiverse! No realm is truly out of reach, and new dimensions lay hidden, yet to be explored!

I'm a Canadian DM who also worked a considerable amount of time in the social field - I invest a lot of focus in ensuring a safe environment for my players where they can feel free to explore all the many facets of their characters as well as the collaborative worlds we envision together.
I don't use homebrew classes - I know that can be a big let-down for people, but I assure you WotC has plenty of great stuff vetted and I'm more than willing to help you achieve your character concept.
I love old and new players alike. Whether you have an in-depth idea you want to discuss, or just need a few pre-game conversations to get comfortable - this is your game as much as mine. I want you to feel confident and have all the tools you need. I have laid out a fairly easy-to-follow Foundry platform.
