Hail and well met internet friends! The Chimera Corps D&D Discord Community is looking for players of all timezones and experience levels! We are presently looking for dedicated, active players, preferably those that like Discord Roleplaying!
We are a safe, mature, low-key, no drama, friendly, respectful, and accepting community. We just finished a 1.5 year long campaign (levels 1-20) and have started our next campaign in July (planned to be 3-20; avg player levels is 4 currently). We utilize RPG Consent Surveys to tailor safe and appropriate content to our players.
We hold live sessions on Roll20 (almost weekly), as well as Play-By-Post Roll-/Role-play. Many of our live games are held either in NA afternoons/EU evenings or NA evenings, as our DMs have availability.
We use a custom XP system that allows people to advance in level just by participating in the community (RP, live games, or downtime activity), as well as catch-up XP so you won't get left behind as long as you're active!
Chimera Corps is a Forgotten Realms (and Exandria-friendly), "West Marches" style D&D 5E campaign. This has several defining differences from other campaign styles. In a West Marches style campaign, each session doesn't always drive a single overarching plot (some do), but an overarching environment. Instead, each session is an exploration of quests, story plots, rumors, or locations posted by the several DMs on staff. This means the players drive and affect the plot and setting, making the campaign dynamic.
Furthermore, a DM of a West Marches campaign sets the times that they are available to run a game, and the pool of players decide on the group via sign-ups and roleplay, and then select a quest or rumor to pursue. If a session ends before a quest is completed, that quest is reopened for another group to attempt (could be the same group), but the quest, and thus our setting, will have changed based on the progress of the last group. Lastly, unique to our campaign, the community (players and DMs alike) have the ability to create and shape the lore!
In addition to standard treasure, we also utilize a Faction System, where quests can reward Faction Favors that can be used to requisition services from available factions, based on your rank with that faction.

CAMPAIGN PROLOGUE The Navarnos family, a noble family of Everlund, situated in the southern Silver Marches, has owned hunting grounds east of Everlund since their first generation. This land, which was previously a more ancient Eaerlanni elven ruin, is located in the southern Nether Mountain Valley, just north of the River Rauvin. Upon this land sits an old, grand hunting lodge, and supporting micro-hamlet, tucked into a hilly grove of tall evergreen trees. The Navarnos family, members of the Lords' Alliance, has partnered with the Slayer's Take and Emerald Enclave to restore the lodge and hamlet, creating an outpost that expands Everlund's reach northwestward.Aside from Silverymoon and Everlund, and a few small occupied villages and forts, the Eastern Silver Marches are mostly unclaimed, and untamed, rife with beasts, monsters, and ancient secrets. The fortress city of Sundabar fell decades ago to an army of orcish raiders, and has since fallen silent years thereafter, entrapping its mysteries deep within its depths, like the magical Everfire Forge. Further east of the Marches lies the Anauroch desert, hiding many Netheril secrets beneath its sands. To the south of the Marches lies The High Forest, deep and fantastical where the veils of the Feywild thinly overlap with the Material Plane. To the west lie Icewind Dale and the Sword Coasts, famous for adventure.
For whatever your reasons, you have come to Rainhaven, alongside many organizations and individuals that wish to create a foothold in Rainhaven and the eastern Marches, and shape the outpost's future.
