Perhaps it was years ago that her older sister vanished? Simply out gathering berries and plants for dinner one day, and never returned home. The elders and village guards would have examined the last known area, but other than some faint traces of magic, a discarded basket, and a simple torn piece of fabric with a partially glowing arcane rune embroidered onto it there were no clues as to who might have taken her, or if she even was taken and didn't just leave. It perhaps might have been looked into more thoroughly, but she had expressed dissatisfaction with how the elders did things and frequently spoke of leaving on some grand adventure one day, so her disappearance was viewed more as a symptom of wanderlust rather than any actual foul play. But now there is only that shred of fabric and the golden rune left as the only clue which Alanis has to go on. . .perhaps it is time to venture away from home and seek out some one more knowledgeable on such things, and to hopefully find answers as to what really happened that faithful day? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Or, are you just looking for a group to play with which will consider your characters back story?

Does she have any idea what happened to her sister or is it a complete mystery?
