Experience: Newish (6-7 sessions under my belt overall, but no completed campaigns; I know the fundamentals and some basic stuff, but still have little experience with more advanced roleplay/combat mechanics); I left my first one-shot after an hour due to not wanting to roll up a brand new character after dying. I've done a second one-shot that went rather well, and I can re-use that character (will have to use R20 to make it up again), and I left a campaign a couple months ago after just 4 or 5 sessions as the group had life issues and went a month without a session (still on good terms with that group, but I don't know whether it's still together to run that campaign).
Timezone: US Central Time (GMT-6)
Looking for: I would like to get back into Discord VOIP D&D, and I can also work with R20 if needed. I prefer smaller groups due to some social anxiety and autism, and Sundays are going to always be my best days to play D&D. I have a character currently rolled up that I can use immediately for a Level 5 start (Half-Orc Great Weapon Fighter/Life Domain Cleric), or I can roll a brand new character rather quickly for a Level 1 start.
Additional Information: While I am still learning more intermediate stuff, I have started experimenting with multiclassing; I ran a half-elf wizard/bard in a previous campaign (backstory started him out as a bard who left his hometown to study magic as a wizard, eventually becoming a tenured professor at the academy he studied at; I primarily focused on the Wizard side of the multiclass, and I had fun with it, but I often used Bardic Inspiration using a lute. I played a guitar OOC to roleplay the IC lute lol). As far as my availability goes, Sundays are always my best days for D&D, as I typically have a rotating work schedule. I can play afternoons Monday through Wednesday (generally after 5 pm but have to stop by 10 pm EST [I'm familiar with US timezones and have experience with converting my personal times to US Eastern Time for convenience to others].)
Ok, so if you're interested in joining a new group with me, just send me a Discord friend request: KnightxShield#4233
In response to nevbrown2007, I'm a player. I have experience worldbuilding (been working on a novel series/book trilogy, and I've fleshed out the worlds for those), but no experience DMing for D&D.
