-- The Reason --
I'm a DM with a lot of extra time on her hands and I would like to run a D&D 5e One Shot for a few people. I've been running games for a little over 2 years but all of my experience is with in person games. I want to learn how to utilize Roll20 to DM and so I'm looking for a few brave ( preferably patient lol) souls who would love to play a homebrew one shot so I can learn the ropes with hands on experience. I have a basic knowledge of Roll20 and DnD Beyond but I've gleaned all I can from YouTube videos and Google searches and I need to just dive in and do it now. So if that isn't a deal breaker for you I'd love to have you join me at my virtual table! Any experience level is fine with me but if you're new and unsure just know that I do not mind helping someone through any of the steps and stages of the setup or game. Everyone has to learn somehow somewhere right? So no worries!

-- About the Game --
The season has me inspired and so the one shot will probably have a slight spooky undertone or a few scary elements like ghosts or vampires or something but I promise it won't be anything too horrible. 
The characters would be level 5 and I don't have any race or class restrictions. No special starting equipment beyond the beginning standard setup but I will allow for an extra feat, even if you already start with one because of your race. I think it makes things more interesting for short games to have more playable options. 
I will be using my own compiled list of DM rules but most of them are not too different from the standard way of play and so there aren't any major changes just ones that make things smoother for my DM style. Speaking of my DM style, roleplay is the biggest focus because that's my personal favorite part but never fear for there are also chances for combat and exploration and maybe even some puzzle solving depending on how things develop!
Before the game we will do a quick "Session 0" to go over everyone's concerns, questions, and expectations. I will also be available to message anytime before the game. I will respond within a reasonable time as my other life stuff permits. The main things to know going into the game are:

1) Kindness and Respect to everyone involved is non-negotiable. We all just want to play a game we love and have a good time so please remain civil. Failure to do so immediately results in a full kick & ban.
2) LGBTQIA+ (Any and all Alphabet Mafia members) are always welcome. Just please let me know which pronouns you want me to use for both in and out of game.
3) I don't want to ruin anyone's fun but I prefer to keep my games a safe space for fun for everyone. I will have a consent & safety checklist for everyone to fill out before the game so everyone's safety boundaries are clear and respected before we begin playing. 
4) Ages 18+ 

-- About the Time & Day --
The days I am available to run the game are Mondays or Fridays and the day can be settled once I have some interested players. If enough people are interested I can simply run a game on both days. I'm in PST/PDT and would like a midday game but, as I mentioned before, I currently have a lot of free time so there is a fair amount of wiggle room on the time. Ideally, the game would run from 3-4 hours but rest assured I would have a midway point break for everyone playing to stretch their legs and do snack breaks and bathroom stuff.

D&D is a fascinating hobby and one I enjoy a lot.   Monday or Friday works best for me.  I'm UK based so you timings work really well (UK is +8 on PST currently).
