To summarise, this is a long campaign which I've run over the past year or so! There's been a total or 10 arcs so far, so there's a ton of lore and story established
Disclaimer: Due to the campaign's high level nature, I will allow newer players to apply, but you need to at least know the rules of the game decently and know your character. I wouldn't advise a new player joining this campaign to play a full-caster for this reason (their complexity goes way up as they level). In addition, because this is high level, I expect people to be able to handle that power responsibly. The party is currently level 11 and the campaign is likely to go to levels 16 or 17. In addition you'll likely get a magic item upon character creation which we can determine or homebrew
My homebrew campaign rules are listed down below! You must read these rules to enter the campaign! They say a lot about the game style of my campaign.
As for game tone it's a mix depending on the situation. There's a lot of light-hearted joking during the non-plot RP, but when stuff gets serious, it gets very serious.
The game is a solid 60/40 Non-combat to combat typically.
Party Makeup: There's been a lot of player characters joining in and out of this game, due to a lot of players having unforeseen time changes. But the current party layout is the following:
- Pollop: Undead Patron changeling warlock from the far away rural town of Ashfield
- Lue: Satyr. Formerly fiend pact warlock, now Wild Magic Sorcerer using my homebrew wild magic chart. Been through... a... lot
- Willow: Wood Elf Druid from some sort of forest out in the middle of nowhere, wields a strange staff. Has become the party mom, dealing with the chaotic BS of the other members. Also party healer
- Ramona: Tiefling Wizard with a strange fey crystal.
As for party classes, anything but a dedicated healer works, as having two or more dedicated healers can make the game painful to balance on my end.
Basic... very basic version of this long plot: The continent's peace has been threatened. Ever since the destruction of the holy city of Lumigard, the collapse of the holy tower of Heaven's Needle, pride of the Unity Bringers (the continent's central church), by the hands of the ultra-powerful, cunning Garanen, a massive conspiracy weaved by him threatens everything. Not even the central grand city of Valanad is safe. The party, aware of secret information the world has yet to see, have by chance become the only ones who could potentially stop him, his 7 lieutenants, the Ascendant Scythes, as well as the rest of his legion. The continent, cowering in fear of Garanen, plans to build a colossal portal to the upper planes, with the help of the Unity Bringers to abandon this world. For additional context, the campaign is 2/3 of the way through, so do understand that when making a character.
