Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: I'm a veteran to the game. I began in 1983 and have played on and off throughout the years as life allowed. I'm relatively new to 5e and I've been playing it since August of 2022. That said, with my lifelong experience and knowledge of the game in all its editions I've learned this edition's rule changes pretty quickly. Apart from the occasional rule tweak here and there, I've got a firm grip on the mechanics and I'm extremely comfortable with RP, since that is the one aspect of the game that has never changed thankfully. Location/Timezone: Arizona: Arizona Time Zone (yes, we have our own time zone which currently aligns with Mountain Standard Time) Availability: No more than twice a week. I'm available pretty much any weekday, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM -5:30PM Preferred role: Player, but I can DM if/when the situation calls for it. I'm a very experienced DM and I run a separate campaign with high school friends twice a month. I'm looking to be a player in someone else's campaign so that I can experience the fun of being a player and also to see how others run their worlds which I believe will help me become an even better DM. I can jump in the middle of a campaign if you're looking to replace a lost player or begin a brand new campaign. Either is fine with me. Game style: I enjoy being with a group that enjoys the art of roleplay and runs in a campaign setting that follows the more "traditional" themes of D&D, such as a Forgotten Realms / Dragonlance type campaign. It doesn't have to be those particular campaigns just something akin to. I'm hardcore only with the concept of playing the game within the general rules laid out in 5e and by running a character with strategy, problem-solving and role-playing at every opportunity possible. That said, I'm totally fine with homebrew content and table rules as long as they make sense and don't spoil the fun or challenge that the game is intended to present.
I might have a good fit for you. I'm running a new D&D game starting in early January. We'll be playing Tuesday nights, starting at 9:30 pm EST and ending around 12:30 am, in my homebrew world, which you can read about here.
We'll be using roll20, D&D beyond, and discord. I believe the game should be collaborative and I'm not your enemy but I will challenge the players. There have to be stakes and there have to be challenges for the game to be fun. You can read my roll20 post here.
If these are of interest to you drop me a message and we can chat on Discord.
