I have played in a few games, but i've mainly been DMing for the past 2 years. I Found a game where I got to be a player on wednesdays (technically 2 games that switched every other week but it was the same group). Anyway I'm at the point where I'd be excited to be a player for once again. I have a few Character Idea's in mind, where I can sort of play any role that is needed. I Don't want to spend forever tying away saying what every backstory I have in mind, but I helped a player build their character recently using Xanthar's Guide to Everything just rolling randomly for the backstory and it was actually pretty fun. Anyway Here are a few of the backstories I have in mind.
Schedule: I live in US Central Time, I work Mon-Fri, available after 6pm US Central. I travel for work about once a month which may cause me to occasionally miss a game, as I do not know when the trips will happen.
Elf Monk: The Oldest of 10 siblings his parents abandoned them and left him to raise and care for them. His parents were former adventurers who settled down earlier after finding their happiness with each other, however they departed to go fulfill those dreams. With his father being a fighter, and his mother being a Cleric, He naturally was capable of taking up the way of the Astral Self Monk. He helped protect his town from Bandits and raiders for a time, and after his town was able to establish their own governmental system including having guards and such, his service was no longer needed, and the town offered to watch over his siblings so he could go off and fulfil his own dreams. Right now he only has one dream in mind, to discover where his parents went, and ask them all the burning questions he has had for some time.
Human Druid: Found on a roadside by a family of affectively shepherd's, This young eventual Druid started to find his way to one himself with nature. His adopted Family ran several sanctuaries across the world, however recently these sanctuaries had been getting raided and attacked, and when his family went off to find a source for the issues, they never came back home. Unfortunately The young hero never had the chance to learn how to get to these sanctuaries so he now has to travel the lands and seas to get to these sanctuaries to see what he can find.
Tiefling Wizard: Not a lot of specifics prepared for this particular one, would love to Roll a ton of stuff on tables from Xanthar's Guide to Everything to just sort of see what happens, haven't had the chance to play a Wizard before, only as NPC's so this would be a fun change.
Satyr Bard/Warlock Multiclass: In this one, the Satyr was a former slave, who took up being a bard because one day while working at their masters home, the Satyr noticed that when a Jester came through during a party, they made everyone laugh and have a good time, even the other slaves had a decent time enjoying the performance. Eventually a dark force entered the mind of the Satyr and convinced her to Kill her masters and run away. Unfortunately she only succeeded in killing one of her masters, and she now roams the lands on the run from the cops. The idea is that she doesn't have much control over the Warlock side of her abilities and the sort of come to her over time. Note that Just because i'm a bard, I do not intend to be one of those bards who Sings 24/7, plays instruments, it would mostly be stuff that comes to my mind as it does.
Hello Blake! Nice characters ideas! I don't know why nobody responded to this post. I am currently looking for players for the multiple campaigns I run during the week. I usually use EST time zone to run them, but CST is close enough. If interested reach me on my Discord: Gudiu#1007
