My dum dum with my dum face is confused and just created my charaecter. What do I do now? Do I look for new people or do I just like...read? I need help.
OK, you made your first mistake. Don't make a character before you have a campaign.
You don't know what the game you're going to be in is. You made a wizard? What if you get into a low magic campaign? Goblin? What if no monstrous races are allowed? Point buy stats? What if the DM wants rolled stats. Come up with a concept, never make a character.
So, yeah. What you do now is find a game. Post here, on Roll20, Reddit... Wherever. Apply for games, especially ones listed as beginner friendly. Familiarise yourself with the rules, but don't think you have to memorise them. I've been playing/running 5e for 6 years and I still make mistakes with the rules. But, yeah, get into a game. That's really your next step, and your first proper one.
